    Awww Now I'm sad....

But then I see the "WTF" look on momma cat's face... and now I'm laughing again.

As usual Katie you manage to fit a range of human emotion into one seemingly simple comic, Bravo.

The 'four straight legs DO NOT WANT' posture in panel 2 is perfect - my cat does that every time anyone tries to pick her up.

    That last panel...

I'm off to pirate more music, steal software, and knock down little old ladies, then later I'm going to cover my self in Yak's blood, and lay in a pentagram, while reading some Marxist literature and praying to a heathen god.

oy! that punch line is a punch right in the solar plexus.

interesting how Brian and 17 are more world wise than Mal in this aspect.

Jeeze, that last panel was a punch in the gut. Malachi doesn't know how good he had it I guess.

    Wow. Great comic.
My screen resolution didn't show the bottom 2 panels, so my first read of the comic was much different than the second.
    Really great punchline.

Sad punchline, though it makes me wonder; Why was Malachi dropped off at the camp? Hope a future comic gives some more insight into his past.

I'm pretty sure each comic has a cat in it, not each comic has a hidden cat in it.

Yep, you've got it! Comics featuring cats in them don't have a hidden kitty.

Thanks everyone for the feedback, too! :]

Comedy so dark, as light approaches it, each individual photon yells "Oh, HELL, no!" and turns that waveform around.

I don't know what it is but your dark humor *would this be considered dark? I think it is* absolutely slays me. between this and the one with the beaver, I am jus- *falls over dead*

Panel 3 with that cat still trying to get away makes me snicker

    Katie should:
    1) Neglect having a cat for once
    2) Put in a bunch of false positive cats

I don't know where this story arc is going but I like it. Keep the good stuff coming Katie. Where do I click to send you money?

Unrelated story idea: The food drops stop again so Purdy decides to try and teach the kids how to hunt feral cats* for food. Because she can (or she thinks she can.) Take this story and run with it.

*Some scratching & biting may occur. May contain birds.

Malachi doesn't have a father does he? I mean, I think his idealized notion of family is due to he having only a mother and no father.

The lack of catballs in this strip is the true tragedy.

I'm sensing a lot of left-over hostility from strip search in that first panel.

All these days later, I still can't get enough of panel #5. I just love that expression.
