Steam won't let me add these games to my cart.

Why Gaben, why have you forsaken me?

Dark Souls 2 has a prettier version that's supposed to come out later, right? Or was that a misunderstanding?

Yeah, and it will be "oh no we can't patch it, you'll have to rebuy it" situation

The games are showing up in my library but I haven't gotten a receipt and they haven't charged my payment yet.

Ok, I can handle 33% off for Ground Zeroes, sold.

You can get it for $9 on Nuuvem, if it isn't too late.

I wish I had more steam cards.

Crimson Clover is like 3 bucks.

I'd get myself that if it were I had enough in my steam wallet.

Civ 5 is the easiest to pick up so far in the series. I'd recommend the Complete Edition so that you start out with the expansions...at a minimum, Gods & Kings is mandatory.

I hope Lords of the Fallen goes down even lower in a daily or community vote.

Neverending Nightmare also looks neat but I'm afraid the majority of scares got spoiled in the Two Best Friends video.

Isn't Nuuvem the big one publishers and developers don't like? I seem to recall some indie dev ranting about it or something.

I haven't been able to figure out how to buy something from them using converted currency, much less navigating their store.

If that's the route people choose to go, there are active Buy/Sell threads on both NeoGAF and CAG, with rating systems to verify users.

EDIT: Actually scratch that. I'm seeing word that they've now imposed region locking on all Steam games.

Had to happen sooner or later, I guess...

Don't developers say HEY PLEASE DON'T DO THAT in regards to buying games from sites like that?

Nuuvem might be different, but from what I understand they buy steam codes for dirt cheap and then resell them for slightly more so they make a profit while the developer, and also Valve I guess, gets fucked over

No, they imposed region locking on gifts. I just bought Ground Zeroes this morning and it activated just fine.

You buy using converted currency with Paypal. Paypal automatically makes it your local currency.

It's easy enough to learn the basics, but I think the tutorial doesn't go into much detail on some of the finer points like Happiness (or maybe I just didn't pay attention when they talked about it).

On your first playthrough you explore the tech tree, and the game will take you a while as you learn what each tech and unit and resource is for. But it's on subsequent games that you'll really come to appreciate the diplomacy, culture and tourism features, and realise why people have hundreds of hours banked in this game.
