    Civ 5 is the easiest to pick up so far in the series. I'd recommend the Complete Edition so that you start out with the expansions...at a minimum, Gods & Kings is mandatory.

    It's easy enough to learn the basics, but I think the tutorial doesn't go into much detail on some of the finer points like Happiness (or maybe I just didn't pay attention when they talked about it).

    On your first playthrough you explore the tech tree, and the game will take you a while as you learn what each tech and unit and resource is for. But it's on subsequent games that you'll really come to appreciate the diplomacy, culture and tourism features, and realise why people have hundreds of hours banked in this game.

    On the tooic of ground zeroes: I bought it day one full price and have zero regrets, but you need to want to dig deep and do missions multiple times and get the best rank and stuff. It is a great game with lots of content if you want to do that.

    If you want to just play through everything once though you may be better off just watching a let's play because it will take you like 3 hours tops.

    I love the game, personally, just want people to make informed purchases.

    This steam broadcast stuff is pretty cool. Really nice to check out how the game plays before buying it.

    Also, Kojima is weird. Took me a few minutes to figure out this goofy song was actually playing in Ground Zeroes and not just from the streamer's pc.
