So the call I missed at 3:13 pm today COULD have possibly been from them. Especially since it was a Skype call apparently and only about 7 people have this number since its new
@PedroAsani I knew I was right to worry about missing that call..
are all badges picked up at will call or do they get mailed?
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice-versa, the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

By default, badges are mailed via USPS. Those with international addresses may chose to either have them shipped via Fedex for an extra fee or pick them up at Will Call.
Thank you! Back when they went on sale my friday and saturday passes said they would be mailed and I just bought a sunday pass and the only option was will call so I was a little confused. when do the badges typically get mailed?

That's likely due to the timeframe we're at prior to the event. It's likely that will call is your only option for your second purchase if that's what was presented to you. Badges usually get mailed about 3 weeks prior to the show.
I'm going on Saturday with 2 other people; it'll be all of our first times going to PAX. I'm planning on being there the whole day, so what's the best use of my time? I'm thinking the expo floor will be cool, but is there any other non-event PAX stuff I should keep in mind?
I posted here few weeks ago because I had to get in contact with the organization for a booth, I just wanna thank all the guys here that helped me and the organization itself since we got the booth to promote Aero's Quest.

AFTER PARTIES ARE THE BOMB. Other then that, get to PAX Early, I know its the first one in SA, but expect Saturday to be a Zoo on the floor. The usually start a queue for the floor 2 hours before it opens. Try to plan your "Must Sees" from the lists they will provide. If you see any panels you are interested in, plan on being at them about 30 minutes early to avoid getting shut out.
So this is my first PAX, just like to know how much longer till tickets arrive in mail? Just wondering since it is only a month away. Also, I did purchase them before the deadline date. Pretty sure it was the day the tickets went on sale that I got them.

They generally aren't mailed until about 3 weeks prior to the con.
I have a small question. I have some apparel, namely a jacket, that has a curse word on it. Is this allowed? I didn't see anything about profanities on clothing so just making sure.
Wanting to run a tabletop RPG session during the free play after hours, is there a place to register for use of a table and power outlets? (I want to record the session and would need to power the recording equipment)

Considering PA sells a sweat shirt that blatantly has swearing on it, it should be fine... so long as it's not something that's directly offending anybody I assume.

Tables are first-come, first-served. Also you're probably going to run into problems getting power at your table, depending on how the room is setup.
Is it PAX <insert nearest future PAX here> yet?

Generally we don't worry about attendee clothing unless it becomes a problem. If it does, then we will likely ask you to change.
In all the East I have ever gone to the only person I ever saw thrown out for clothing was at the first east. It was a booth babe in an elf getup that was so shear you could tell the carpet did not match the drapes. I was sad because I was waiting in the line to see what swag she was offering when they escorted her out. I don't remember the game, but I will never forget her... HOLY CRAP, I don't think Hef would have allowed so much to be visible.
Quick question - I'm from Australia and will be coming to PAX South. When I bought the pass I picked "Will Call - International Only" - thought I best check exactly what this means... will someone call me to verify how I am to pick up the pass, or do I need to call someone, or...?

Your passes will be held at the Will-Call/Registration booth (Badge Collection is what I believe its called down there) under the name you used to purchase them. That person with photo ID will need to be there to pick them up. Will-Call is open pretty much all weekend and usually Thursday afternoon\evening as well.

In addition to this, I'm not sure what you mean by the "free play after hours"
Tabletop freeplay is open during the entirety of pax.
Hey guys, first time going to pax. I am trying to plan what I want to see on Friday and noticed the first two things on the schedule are both in the main hall an hour apart. If you watch the keynote can you stay in the main hall and watch the q&a afterwards or is it an either/or situation?

The Keynote/PA Q+A/Roosterteeth panels won't have the theater cleared between shows, as there's no time to do so. If you wish to watch all 3 you are allowed to do so. If you're only interested in the Q+A or Roosterteeth, you may still be able to get in, depending on if the theater is full or not.
If there's an hour or more gap between panels, then the theater will be cleared between panels.
Besides the pokemon league, which i think is awesome but my pokemon team will not be able to handle it i guess, is there any other mega/meta game around pax?, can i organize one?
This is our groups first PAX. Some of us were looking forward to playing the X Wing minis game but there is no tourney scheduled. How many other games besides the the tournament ones will be going on? Should we still bring our minis?

I know at other paxes people have brought their xwing minis and have been able to find pick up games for xwing either through the minis coordinators or via the tabletop lfg hashtag on twitter ( #ttlfg I am pretty sure it still is )
What options do we have (Three travellers) for getting from Austin to San Antonio? Flight is coming into Austin on Thursday.
Thanks!
I was going to fly into Austin initially because of the cost savings (around ~$100 saved) but decided not to.
I was going to go with either MegaBus or AmTrak to get from Austin to San Antonio.
MegaBus - http://us.megabus.com/
The Pickup spot is at the University of Texas which is 9 miles from the Austin Airport.
Ticket is $5 per person - leaves Austin (01/22) at 9:35AM and gets to San Antonio at 11AM (taxi ride would be ~$100+)
There are also additional bus departures at 1:30PM, 4:25PM, 8:20PM and 11:55PM
AmTrak - http://www.amtrak.com/
The AmTrak Austin Station is 12 miles from the Airport.
Ticket is $14 per person - leaves Austin (01/22) at 6:30PM and gets to San Antonio 10PM

There are other games\events\challenges\happenings that are talked about on these forums, some that are not really talked about on the forums, and you are of course welcome to start your own thing. PAX is about the community, and the community is what makes it great. Welcome Home.

I live in SA and honestly didn't we had AmTrak here, and the travel time seems ridiculous. From Austin Airport to downtown SA should only be about 1.5 hours via car.
The bus seems like a good alternative.
Is renting a car and driving down not doable?

Amtrak would be better, yes it costs a little more but it's downtown right across the highway from the convention center and the Tower of The Americas.

The AmTrak station is right next to Sunset Station(the original train terminal). And the reason it takes longer is because America's rail infrastructure is terrible. At some spots during the trip, they have to go about 15 miles an hour because of the conditions of the tracks.
I'm heading to Texas from Seattle on the 19th and I'm worried I won't get my badges in time. I'm not sure what to do if I cant manage to get them in time. Rebuying badges would suuuck.

To use the official PAX response .... SOON(TM)
They seriously need to sell a shirt at Pax one year about "pax soon"
Thanks!
