The dragon's death is common knowledge, but his relationship with the thing beneath Las Vegas is not. People knew he was a powered up Red Court nothing more. There is a power struggle because he kept things in balance, but where his power came from was a bit of a mystery.

High Concept: Vice Squad Gunslinger Trouble: Vessel to the Spirit of Vengeance Background: The Guns of My Father
Born to a pair of immigrants in southern Louisiana, Roland grew up within sight of The Big Easy's skyline. Roland's father, Rene, was struck and killed by a hit and run driver on his way home from a shift with the NOPD. While his mother Isabelle did her best to keep his life stable during this tumultuous time, frequent burglaries and thefts conspired against them. When a robber held up Isabelle at gunpoint at her own diner, it was the last straw. She packed up their few remaining belongings and headed west to her family in Nevada. Roland's single belonging from that time is his father's service revolver, which he refused to part with.
Rising Conflict: Suffer Not the Guilty
Uprooted from everything he knew and without a father figure, Roland rebelled against his mother and her family, ultimately falling in with a bad crowd and dropping out of school. When Isabelle was killed by a fellow delinquent in a carjacking gone bad, Roland realized that he had become part of the problem that drove him from his home. He got his GED and enrolled with the LVPD. His determination and natural aptitude caused him to rise quickly among the police force, but no matter how hard he worked the city never seemed to get any safer. Smelling something suspicious during a routine traffic stop, Roland opened the trunk to find several bound and gagged children. Enraged, Roland drew his service weapon and shot the driver several times. The driver, a low rung Red Court vampire on the way to make a delivery, responded by tearing off the driver's side door and trying to kill Roland with it. Filled with righteous anger, Roland bore the brunt of the attack and executed the vampire while it stood gaping at the human who was apparently immune to car doors. The dash camera caught it all, and Roland was invited to join The Hard Way Squad shortly thereafter.
The Story: A Fool Rushes In
When The Hard Way Squad assaults the stronghold of a known human trafficker, Roland volunteers to lead the charge. But will Roland and The Hard Way Squad succeed when the stronghold turns out not to be filled with street level thugs but White Court vampires?
Guest Star: Give the Spirit Its Due
(Also starring: Jacob Highrock)
When the Spirit of Vengeance sends Roland to the Keich Ranch, the LVPD sergeant finds UNLV student practitioners committing ritual murders of their fellow students. But when the murders seek refuge with the university's guardian thunderbird, will it provoke a confrontation between Roland and Jacob Highrock?

Haruna and Jacob likely have a very interesting relationship if he's learning magic from her.
He probably sees her, as a member of his campus tribe, as being someone who he should be protecting. I'm not sure how he'd react to having someone in that position be better at the thing he would likely use to do job.
It could be fun to play it out with him continually failing at faerie style magic. And then just getting frustrated and striking things with lightning to blow off steam.
Jacob and Roland probably have something of a working relationship. If Roland has hunted anybody in Jacob's "tribe", though, it could make for some significant friction.
I'd imagine that one of them would have to do something pretty damn heinous to draw attention from the Spirit of Vengeance. Would Jacob really defend them?

He'd knee jerk to defend them, but I think he could be convinced otherwise if the person being avenged upon was shown to be a significant threat to the rest of the tribe. Either on their own or because of the trouble they were bringing home with them.

He probably sees her, as a member of his campus tribe, as being someone who he should be protecting. I'm not sure how he'd react to having someone in that position be better at the thing he would likely use to do job.
It could be fun to play it out with him continually failing at faerie style magic. And then just getting frustrated and striking things with lightning to blow off steam.
Jacob and Roland probably have something of a working relationship. If Roland has hunted anybody in Jacob's "tribe", though, it could make for some significant friction.
