    Anybody know if there's a mod out there to make the female version of the Ancient Nord Armor look more like the male version? That is, to make it badass looking and make it actually look like heavy armor, and with proper viking helmet horns, instead of the silly antlers? I've found a mod for helmet but not the rest.

    Hmmm. Thanks. Wonder how hard it would be to cherrypick which armors out of that mod I wanted to replace. I like what they did with the Ancient Nord set, and removing the most egregious "boob bulges" on a few others... but on some it looks like they went a little too far IMO... there can be a middle ground between the boob bulges at one extreme and the character just looking like a skinny dude at the other.

    It has an install script that'll let you individually pick which ones you want.

    Hey guys, I have a question. I completed the Snow Veil Sanctum and sadly seem to have blasted the collectible Model Ship into the aether. I tried adding in a copy so I could sell it to Delvin but that didn't work. I've since completed the next step of that collection quest. How can I get the Model Ship collected and keep that quest in the proper state for eventual continuance?

    It wasn't magic, it just required two of the three Thief Guild Leaders to open. And they both still had their keys

    Right, that's my point. Even if
    he didn't have the Skeleton Key, he could have made copies of the other keys, right? Or made lockpicks. Or really done any of a dozen other things.

    The door is described as being hard to open (because we're supposed to believe that OH MAN SOMETHING CRAZY IS GOING ON), but doesn't actually sound hard to open.

    Like, he's supposed to be a master thief. I think he can maybe figure out how to open a door that he has had access to 24/7 for the last 25 years.

    I don't know, I thought the truth of what Mercer did was even dumber:
    It turned out he had a secret 'back way' into the vault through his house, which you discover when Brynjolf sends you there to look for his plans, and then never tell anyone. I like to think it's because you just don't want to twist the knife in their hearts anymore by letting them know that they completely failed to notice that their super-secure vault with this complicated two-key entry system had a hatch in the ceiling. I mean really?

    I mean, that's just fire code safety standards. Two means of egress from every location. And you know those fire safety inspectors have gotten extra-zealous once dragons started showing up.

    Snow Veil Sanctum never resets, can you get back in there?
    Select the item(s) through the console by entering PRID X where X corresponds to the ID referencing the item in question (see list below). Type RecycleActor in the console. Repeat as necessary.

    00060cc2 East Empire Shipping Map
    0006f266 Model Ship
    0005598c Dwemer Puzzle Cube
    00019954 Bust of the Gray Fox

    This trick is meant to restore collectibles to their position on the shelf in the TG, however the command recycleactor should work inside the sanctum to restore the item (which you never picked up) to its original position prior to being blasted off its pedestal.

    If you can get back into the Sanctum, you should be able to prid the item, recycle it back to where it was before the room exploded, pick it up, and turn it in to Delvin.

    Honestly one of the things I love most about ESO is tons of Khajit voice acting.

    So I just installed Interesting NPC's for the first time (I know, I know) and none of the new characters are showing up where the mod website tells me they should be hanging out. Does it take a certain amount of time for the game to add them or something? Or do I need to leave an area and then return so the cell can reload or some such? Because I was at Jorrvaskr so naturally I decided to look for the new folks in Whiterun first and none of them are there...

    Edit: It must be something like the latter because when I went to Riverwood its INPC's were there. What is it about that place that triggers a dragon attack every time I pass through?

    I believe it's three days but other than the lady in the inn, you'll enjoy them more if you run across them naturally. asking innkeepers might speed you to some quicker.

    I intend to for the most part, but I wanted to seek out at least one to make sure the mod actually installed and activated properly. And now I have!

    No, I don't think it is. The mage college will generally ALWAYS spawn a dragon when fast traveling, for example.

    No, I don't think it is. The mage college will generally ALWAYS spawn a dragon when fast traveling, for example.

    Hmm. The last time I played a character who spent much time in the Winterhold area was the mage I rolled for my very first character... three-plus years ago now (hard to believe)... so my memory is hazy and it could just be the power of suggestion but I do seem to remember it happening a lot when I fast traveled back to home base at the college. Of course back then my frame of reference wasn't nearly as big so I didn't think as much of it.

    It certainly seems like I can fast travel back and forth between Whiterun and Solitude, say, all day long and not see neither hide nor horn of any dracs. But Riverwood for some unfathomable reason I think I am 3 for 3 in my last three stops there.

    It's probably not perception. Not every random encounter trigger marker can spawn a dragon attack, some of them just won't. The place you mentioned, Riverwood, most definitely is a valid dragon encounter trigger. As is Dawnstar, Morthal, the gates of Riften, Solitude stables (an obnoxious one, there is no landing area on that altitude level for the dragon, so when it lands it lands up on the mountain above Solitude before taking off again to strafe you some more). When it's time for a dragon attack, the game saves it until you hit a valid trigger and then spawns the encounter as soon as you come across one.

    If it's time for a dragon attack any valid trigger will spawn the dragon. If you visit the college within the three day cooldown it most definitely will not spawn a dragon.

    The Whiterun stables are, as far as I am aware, not a dragon encounter area. Solitude stables are, but if you don't travel to the stable but to the city itself, then no, no dragon.

    I always FT to the city itself. Don't see any point to going to the stables just so I can walk up to a gate and look at another loading screen.

    If you fast travel into Solitude when a dragon attack is queued and then walk to the stables and hang out for a minute it will attack.

    I learned this the hard way one time after giving all my gear to Malborne for Diplomatic Immunity and then going to meet Delphine at the stables. The fucker attacked before I could finish talking to Delphine, she went into combat, I had no bow and not very many potions, and the dragon wouldn't land except up on top of the mountain.

    I ended up having to revert to an earlier save, fast travel somewhere else to force the dragon attack, then go back to Solitude. These days I put together an alternate gear set just for the 1 minute it takes to get on the carriage because that was such an annoying experience.

    And in case it's not clear now, dragons will not attack inside cities that have their own worldzone (unless you are using Open Cities I guess). So if you fast travel directly into Whiterun, Riften, Windhelm, Solitude, and Markarth because you're vendor hopping or something, you can easily pass three days in just a few minutes and then the first town you hop to that isn't its own worldspace, Riverwood, Morthal, Dawnstar etc, the dragon will attack immediately. This can make it seem like those places always spawn a dragon. Really they don't, they are just one of the places dragons can spawn, and when the timer is up the first valid area you visit you will get a dragon.

    This all becomes a lot more transparent the first time you play a game where you eschew fast-travel. You will get a lot more wilderness random dragon encounters.

    That said, I love fast travel and use it a lot, but I have tried going without and it's a quite different experience. Also, wolves. Lots and lots and lots of wolves on the roads.

    Also, a few of the dragon mods eschew this rule and its very funny to watch a dragon fight inside a world space it was not meant to fight in. Sadly, the dragon attack desecrated the corpse of the battleborn. Further worsening the situation is that it was the poor sod having a relationship with a Greymane.

    I'm picturing her weaping over his ashes like that one program in the new Tron weeping over the bits of data remaining of her friend.

    Did they remove city dragon attacks? Because I know in previous games I would occasionally have one attack Solitude but I haven't seen one at all in my current game, even though I keep looking for one.

    It's always odd hearing people complain about the elder scroll being locked behind the mages guild.

    I mean sure if you go through the main quest it points you to the college to get the info, but I don't think I have ever not just gone to Septimus's cave on my own long before progressing the main stuff that far.

    It was that somehow, from within the derelict-horror, they had learned a way to see inside an ugly, broken thing... And take away its pain.

    I don't mind the elder scroll being (sort of, not really) locked behind the mages guild because if you have not joined the college and have no magical skills to speak of, when you are directed to the college by Arngeir you get a special dialogue with Faralda that basically goes "I'm not a wizard, but I am the dragonborn" and she asks you to demonstrate your th'um, when you do she acknowledges that despite your not being a regular mage, your special magic is very worthy of study and of interest to the college and so lets you in. So you don't have to "become a mage" to get inside in that instance.
