Oh I totally spaced and meant to post this a couple days ago.
Micheal's has a BOGO on shadow boxes and display cases (9.99-159.99) until Feb 14.
Also the lady at checkout had a secret coupon of some sort for what I think was another 20% off.
I walked out with 4 boxes approx. $150 for $53 and change (still trying to find my receipt).
Already have mine full (pictures to come) and going to go pick some more up tomorrow.
Just wanted to share
My Wife made me boxes for christmas and I finally set them up. I saved a spot for the Aus '13 set. Gotta have goals Now I need a bigger one for all the randoms.
Here's my first shot at a pin display!
Shadowbox is from Michael's and I added in sheets of cork cemented directly to the back to make it easier to stick the pins in.

Was going to suggest pulling some felt over the front but I guess it's too late if it's cemented to the back... I'll try to take pictures of the steps I used the next time I make one.

Yeah that was my original plan but the cork ended up adding a lot of bulk so the spacer between the backing and glass needs to be cut down if I add anything else. Unfortunately I don't have the tools to do that though. Thank you for the feedback!
I'm sure it doesn't actually belong here, but I wanted to show off my pin display solution for East. I spray painted the bird emblem from Infamous: Second Son onto the back of a denim jacket, and since the character covers his vest in pins in the game, I found it only fitting to do the same. Most of the pins currently on there aren't PA since I don't intend to take most of my collection overseas with me, just favourites and fodder, the latter of which will be on a lanyard.
So, I found this thing online and I just had to buy it. It's from Disney...it's a Star Wars themed pin trading bag. It's modeled after Chewbacca's bandolier. It has four double sided pages with a protective buffer page in between each page. Also, a tiny little zipper pouch in the very back. It's pretty small, but I dig it, it's coming to East with me for a test run.

So I think I'm pretty much set now. With the arrival of my Ultra Pro 2 Pocket Pages, my spare sets were able to find a home in my folders rather than in a box
I still have to get some coloured paper/card to print folder covers and spines yet. Also you could use dividers in the binder to separate years, or if you had a big white folder maybe they could be used for different PAX'es (http://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/marbig-divider-a4-5-tab-manilla-bright-colour-ac37100).
The following items are what I've used to take my spares from being a rabble in a bag, to being relatively organised.
Ultra Pro Pro Matte Slips (Various colours, Limited Editions are EXTREMELY tight in these): http://www.ultrapro.com/product_list.php?cPath=70_141
The individual coloured slips aren't really necessary but are a nice touch

Thank you for the product links, you are my person of the day. :-)
Saw a bait binder at a Sporting Goods Store and thought it could make a good pin trading binder.
Made some pages with craft foam and grommets, and it looks like it can work, I left one of the bait plastic bags to cover the first page and avoid contact between the pins and the zipper on the mesh bag.
I only need three pages for my current trades, no repeats, I can keep those in the backpack, I think I can fit a couple more pages if needed. The pages are actually a 6mm and a 2mm (adhesive) craft foam pages glued together, the 2mm is bent over at the long edge first to provide a more flexible side for the rings and the grommets. As anybody can tell my crafting skills are horrible, but still the binder feels like it works.
Right, a bait binder as in fish bait, there are some with a spider logo that look really cool but are thinner and not as sturdy, I think I'll put an embroidered patch on this one.
It only took me about 30 minutes to put together once I finally got the drive to start on it... This is everything I got/traded for from PAX Prime 2014. The PAX East and PAX Aus core sets were received for trading out PAX Prime core sets after the show (obviously in the case of the Aus) but everything else (with the exception of Carl) was received at Prime.

I'm particularly drawn to the "collage's"(??)
They look awesome! Great experience/memory keepers
I overheard some folks talking about the staff showing off the official Pinny Arcade binder at the pin trading event at East. Anyone has more details about this?
