Haha, Portal was amazing. The ending was terrific - it was really short, but we knew that. I completed it in a little over 2 hours, but there's extra content in there, and presumably custom maps.
Even though it was short, it was, well, perfect. There was nothing I didn't like about it. It was immensely charming, funny and great.
The song was hilarious. So completely out of nowhere - you guys should stop mentioning it (and stop putting it in a bleeding thread title), in my opinion, because the surprise factor is part of what makes it funny.
But enough of that. About the Half-Life connections: well, it was pretty flimsy, wasn't it? The main link is that Aperture is some sort of competitor to Black Mesa, and want to overtake them in business? We didn't get any info on the main character other than she's apparently an android. Maybe there's something in Episode 2, I don't know, we'll see.

All creature will die and all the things will be broken. That's the law of samurai.
I got passed the level and past the fire pit, jumped into the above place after she told you to lay down and now im in the office where the black mesa vs aperture screen is in the other room. You can also overlook some of the previous levels in here. Where do I go now? There is no opening and no place to go, and i've searched the rooms in the office.
The song really is much, much cooler if you've beaten it first. If I heard it without playing the game at all, not really sure what'd I think about it. I will test this, for SCIENCE!
Jesus. Fucking. Christ. Episode 2 cranked up to max is just beautiful. It does fall a bit prey to the recent rash of "MAKE SHIT FUCKING SHINY, THAT'S GOOD GRAPHICS BOB!" that could just be the beginning due to the fact that:
You're crawling around in gooey antlion tunnels. God I hate antlions.

There is somewhere to go, it gets tricky but without spoiling that particular puzzle, you can shoot portals through the wire fencing, fans and piston sections... don't forget you can use them to jump really high if you have a good drop. Look for signs painted on walls. If you need more specific help I can spoil it for you entirely, but it would ruin the fun.

Go across the same catwalk/platform as the office to the opposite end.
So ever since 2 days ago, all my source games are prone to crashing and repeating the last second of audio over and over again until my computer restarts itself.
Nothing has changed on my Pc so it must be Steam/Source causing the problem, anyone had similar issues or heard anything about this?

I'm a huge nerd and just realized TF2 beta was launched the same day Smash Brawl online was announced, and the Orange box was released at the exact same time Sonic was officially announced in Brawl.

I was happily playing Episode 2 (God damn, it is so awesome), when suddenly the physics in the game broke, leaving me in an unhappy and shocked state. I took some video of it which is viewable here:

Such a good morning this is turning out to be
I give wednesday the 10th of October 10 thumbs up.

Change your language to something else (you can do this out of the game so it doesn't crash) and change it back to English. Fixed.

Also cake. It lies.
Episode 2 is next, but it's a bit early in the morning to be attacked by headcrabs. Maybe later.
DO NOT LISTEN TO IT UNTIL YOU BEAT PORTAL in which case you will have heard it
I ripped it myself from the end credits. If you want to throw up a mirror, feel free.
edit - OK, that song is fucking scary.
I hope everyone beats the game before listening to this.
Is like the best quote ever. I think I heard it in a trailer before or something, but hearing it again after so long, it was absolutely hilarious.

Combine this with the multiplayer game of the century and another episode of Half Life...
Valve, I forgive you of all your misdoings. I love you.

Mirror'd Portal song. Still Alive

Gordan Freeman confirmed for Brawl!

Portal is fucking fantastic.
Fuck.
Best ending ever.
Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa... Sonic's in Brawl?
FUCK YEAH!
So far it feels like they made a tutorial but didn't get around to the actual game.
GO! *points*
I'm downloading drivers and hoping that will fix it.

Half-Life 2: Episode 2 Physics Glitch
Has this happened to anyone else?
It's making the game rather hard and not fun to play.
Oh it's such a nice day, I think I'll go out the window! Whoa!
I can't lime any harder, I don't have the power!
I'm shocked that such an important feature of the engine can actually break like that. You must've done something crazy.
I'll see if re-downloading/installing will fix it.
Oh it's such a nice day, I think I'll go out the window! Whoa!
Also, finally I can run and use flashlight at the same time.
Yes, as soon as it happened I hit F9 and it was still happening. I then typed "restart" into the console and it still wasn't fixed.
Re-downloading now... it's taking ages
