World Magic Championship

in PAX West
WotC are bringing the World Championship of Magic to Prime this year, I'm guessing this may be taking the space of the LoL regionals ?

    Yes. But it'll probably have to be bigger than usual. And I'm guessing they will need additional space if they want to do any of the usual convention events. Since PAX has been scrabbling for every square foot of tabletop space for years, More MTG = Less Other Tabletop
    Hopefully there is some space in the area that they previously couldn't justify renting that this will allow them to get.

    So it turns out that it is 24 person invite only tournament. So I don't think it's going to have a big impact on ticket sales for Prime this year.

    This is at least their second year doing this at PAX Prime so I wouldn't expect it to change things much from last year.
