Helldivers is a cooperative top-down shooter for Playstation 4, Playstation 3, and PS Vita. It's cross-buy and cross-play. It's developed by Arrowhead games, the fine folks responsible for Magicka.

In it, you take on the roles of Helldivers, elite tactical soldiers who drop in on enemy planets and secure various objectives, finishing each mission with extraction via shuttle.

There's a large emphasis put on teamwork, as it's very unforgiving at times, up to and including friendly fire. So watch your aim!

There's also a really interesting metagaming aspect to it, as every successful mission completed contributes to the overall galactic war, up to and including wiping the enemy factions out at their homebase for good (or at least, until the next war breaks out).
