Rangers have more powerplays than shots on goal. (Edit: NBC just said this stat half a second before I hit post. I SAW IT FIRST!)

Was their PP this ineffective in the regular season?

it was, especially at the end

    their PP has been terrible

    Allegedly a voice of reason.

So Harper's at the Jets game.

    Where's Obama?

The fact that Harpers at the Jets game and no one has popped a cream pie in his face makes me sad.

Ottawa just got penalized for a face-off violation. New rules!!

Pretty glad the Habs didn't score on that powerplay, that was pretty stupid. Then again, Habs don't score on ANY powerplay. I don't know what's up with them but they are more dangerous 5 on 5 than 5 on 4.
I remember when that was the case with the Bruins. Whenever they'd go on the PP, it was the perfect time for a smoke and a bathroom break, because nothing was going to happen.

While I agree that being insensitive is an issue, so is being oversensitive.

Didn't the jets get swept last night? I'm sure the caps don't want Obama at any of their games... Not to mention play off tickets are kind of a bitch to come by, it would suck if the president and his entourage showed up and limited the venues ability to sell some for security.

I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.

2011 Bruins proved that a terrible PP does not mean you cannot win the Cup

yeah, i mean, rangers won a lot of games with a crap PP so i'm not too worried about it

other than how mind-boggling bad it is

like nobody even wants to take a shot

how do you expect to score?

    Allegedly a voice of reason.

the key to the rangers power play should just be let kreider try to injure the goalie

i mean, even if you don't score, as long as you get 2pp, you're gonna thin their roster

This just confirms for me that Vigneault still coaches his PP as if the Sedins were running it. For most of his tenure in Vancouver, the power play acted as if they would be granted a goal by default if they could just rack up enough style points.

    Allright.

Now that the Flames are so tired out from winning games, it's time to spring the Canucks trap and maybe play some hockey.

Well that was a ridiculous bounce.

Did he hit that twice? Otherwise that is a truly awful bounce for Bishop.

Self-righteousness is incompatible with coalition building.

I believe Bishop tried to clear it in mid air and it ended up trickling in

Right, he hit it mid air once trying to clear it, it hit the crossbar, bounced in front of the line and either hit his stick again or spun back the other way barely into the net.

Self-righteousness is incompatible with coalition building.

New thread. Same old OP, because I was in a hurry and unimaginative. Also I still enjoy the hockey slang.
