It's Cinco de Mayo! Which roughly translates to "That day in America everyone does shots of tequila, drinks Corona (optional), and overall gets flat out drunk.

It's also my birthday! But as a cruel twist of fate, I can't drink not even once. So you have to drink even more!

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Talk about yonder plans of nighttime festivities that you shall attend! Discuss drunken stories of ribaldry! Etc.! It's Cinco de Mayo! The day we stole from Mexican culture to turn into a day where we just flat out drink!

Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

    It's probably not even true in Florida.

    Do they not sell Dos Equis there? Because Dos Equis is better than Corona, if we're just talking mass-market Mexican style beers.

    Reminder that Cinco de Mayo isn’t actually a national Mexican holiday. it is a holiday that is only celebrated in Puebla and it commemorates Mexican armies fighting off the invasion of French armies even though the French armies outnumbered the Mexican forces. It is not “Mexican Independence Day,” that’s celebrated on September 16th.

    Liking Corona is ok and Corona is ok. It's light, not bitter, and somewhat refreshing. There are beers better at those things but you can do much worse.

    Heineken is ok too it just skunks really easily for some reason. I'd blame the green bottle but I've never had a skunked Beck's which is pretty much the same beer.

    So my grocery store is all excited about Cinco De Mayo and has every avodaco in the city on display. The manager proudly told me he made sure they all came in fresh this morning.

    Every last one is hard as a rock and unripe.
