I always thought they should just make people with multiple separate orders take theirs inside as those are usually the ones that take forever.

People are avoiding McDonald's because it has shit food and there are better places to get it from.
And if they are getting rid of the drive through they might as well give up. Five guys is laughing right now.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
Yeah there are now food trucks and online fast food delivery and ordering through your phone, etc
Mcdonalds reigned for a long time due to its convenience, but they're quickly losing ground in that arena. When you can get better quality food just as quickly, why bother with mcdonalds?

I said it before, but McDonald's is basically becoming Hardee's in the 90s.
And that is hilarious.

I am eating a quiznos sandwich right now.
I am still fucking haunted by the time Tonkka talked about a mythical Quiznos but with nachos instead of sandwiches
I literally day dream about opening a fast food custom nachos restaurant
I'm not trying to refute any particular point there or stick up for McDonald's
Just wanted to point out that there are swathes of the US where those things are not a threat

Well no one's claiming they're in danger of going out of business, just that their reach may have exceeded their grasp.
Fast food in general has been growing unabated for decades, now, and we may finally be reaching the point where that becomes untenable
I like Taco Bell, and their app makes it super easy to order, but man do I miss the days where I could hand the guy $5 and get about 10 pounds of awful food. Now I get like 2 burritos and a taco with a drink for that.
As far as fast food goes, I'm pretty much exclusively about Subway with occasional Zaxby's and Arby's and very occasional Burger King
I used to eat McDonald's, but the last few times I've attempted to, it's made me physically ill. And I'm not one of those people, I can typically shovel pretty much anything down my gullet, but McDonald's just happens to be disgusting in all the right ways, I suppose

I'd guess part of the reason McDonald's is losing business is because they're on every god damned corner.
There are something like 6 McD's within a 10 minute drive of my house. Who needs that many McDonald's in that small of an area? It's an insane concentration for any business.

No.
Those think tanks and marketing firms aren't paid in fries son.
I've read articles that millennials (ugh I hate that term) are avoiding it and other fast food chains way more than previous generations.
That + the ever increasing price of beef probably isn't helping.
I like this thread because the "real" food thread doesn't really work for me.
So I brought it back.
I was gonna wait longer to see if someone else would make a new one, but then I found that article.
They were out of chicken, and were cooking more
So I waited as they cooked and chopped it
It took ages
I didn't mind waiting, but they had to reroute the line around me and oh boy did I feel like a jerk

McNuggets are still better than BK nugs though.

Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
Plenty of places without food trucks or the ability to order fast food on your phone
Just wanted to point out that there are swathes of the US where those things are not a threat
I don't understand the love Five Guys gets. I suppose it's okay if you're really hungry and don't need to touch anything for an hour.
In N' Out remains superior.

I've never eaten In N' Out, but I hear their fries are terrible
Five Guys has great fries, in ludicrious portions
Delicious burgs but their wispy, wispy shoestring fries leave a bit to be desired
Squishy fries are not good fries.
The Habit is a better and cheaper fast food burger than in n out.
Order fries well done at In N Out and you will have good fries that aren't drowning in or manufacturing their own grease.
A tasty greasy burger and tasty greasy fries. Which you order a small portion of, cajiun spiced.
No In n' Out in anywhere near my area for me to compare to though.
Pretty much this!

And they just have too much competition to continue putting out a consistent but boring product.
