@The Hanged Man there's plenty of not gambling to do in Vegas! Hiking in Red Rock, going to the Pinball Museum (playable), the Atomic Testing Museum, not to mention all the shows!
Hmm... interesting. How much of this stuff is easily accessible to a pedestrian from the belt of garbage-cheap hotels just outside the strip?
Realizing lately that I don't really trust or respect basically any of the moderators here. So, good luck with life, friends! Hit me up on Twitter @DesertLeviathan
but whenever i step into a chick fil a, the first thing i notice is just how white everyone is, like super white, like they all stepped out of a 1950s family sitcom
it really is unsettling
The one in my town is the only restaurant I know of around here without any hispanic employees. It's all white college kids from BYU who are entirely too smug-looking for people selling fast food chicken sandwiches, which suggests to me that many of them have aligned with Chic-fil-A specifically in support of its politics. But that's probably just my personal biases filtering my perception, maybe they're all cheerful because they get all the Waffle Fries they can eat.

Are you sure that isn't just a regional thing? The Chik Fil A in the mall near me is chock full of black people and it's a pretty mixed race mall.
Here black people work at Taco Bell.
White people work at CFA, with a few hispanic/latino folks
Every where else is predominantly hispanic/latino with a few white folks helping run shit.
Steak and Shake hires all of the weirdest looking people. I think it is a requirement in their hiring handbook.
Speaking of weird looking waitstaff, I miss going to strange little truckstops and getting burgers and omelettes and things. And your waitress would come up and still be smoking.

The in and Outs I went to in Salt Lake City looked like they just employed teenagers from a polygamy compound.
As probably the one person who actually likes the McWrap, I'm not surprised in the least. I always have to pull up to a parking spot after ordering and wait like five minutes to actually get one.

We talking the full size? Or the snack wrap?
Cuz the snack wrap absolutely should not take that long to make.
It kills me that McD's is cutting back on so many things. Like, I get it. But honestly the snack wrap menu was basically "choose type of chicken and pick a sauce."

The Chick-Fil-A I frequent here outside Houston has about 1/4 black employees, 1/4 hispanic and the rest are white. Among those white employees are three openly, unapologetically gay men.
Company founders and franchise owners are two completely separate entities, and while it may not be across the board, they're not as exclusionary as you may think, at least at the store level.
We went to see the Nutcracker a few months ago, as a christmas present for @Sheri
So many white people. I was actively combing the crowd for minorities, just because after a few minutes of looking, I was seriously concerned that there weren't any

SoCal is pretty diverse and I've been to a few different locations around here. granted, most of them were in south Orange County, which is Whiteyville

Full-size. I'm guessing they're just unfamiliar with making them and don't have the stuff ready.
But yum, when it actually comes.
EDIT: I should probably point out that I basically have the choice between that, BK, or Taco Bell where I work if I want to eat out. least of the three evils, I guess.

Wendy's in my area have started to demolish their old stores and build newer panera-bread style places. Also the quality (and price) of the food has gone WAY up. It's probably as expensive as five guys now, and maybe also as good (or bad?). Sonic here is pretty decent too.
For cheap shitty burgers though? I still go to BK and order a double stacker. It's not on the menu anymore but they still make it. It satisfies an itch that I get a couple times a month.
I dunno, I had In-N-Out while in LA and it was fine but kind of bland. Very lettuce heavy. I had a double and I felt like I could hardly taste the beef.

As I said before, I wish Five Guys would put some of the 9lbs of salt they use on the fries on the super tasteless and bland thing they call a burger.
I only tried In N' Out once, when I was in CA last year. I got a burger and well done fries (I was told to get those). It was ok. The burger was nothing special and the fries were average at best. Every place has their bad location though, so I'd be willing to try it again before passing judgement on the place as a whole.

He's not kidding though. Of the three CFAs near me I have only ever seen one non-white employee.

The local chick fil a hired high schoolers of a certain gpa. I dont know if that was common but it felt like common practice.

Mugshots is how I learned about and tried the peanut butter burger. I reccomend everyone do it at least once, just make sure it is nothing but bun, burger, and p. Butter.

I feel like a peanut butter burg is going to end up giving me a trip to allergy town one day.
Its just weird enough that I'll forget to ask about it/check it and then woohoo vomit city.

I had some mighty cravings for portillos the other day
Sadly the closest one is thirteen hours away
Got a chicago-style dog at the local hot dog joint which helped, but still. portillos. fast food mecca.

The full-size ones are great.
Grilled chicken ranch wrap ftw.
Mine does! But then I have a jillion other options. If I was out in the sticks it'd probably be a different story.

i'm not sure whether it can be cured
what's your address
I'm calling you an ambulance
Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
I do, however, think Five Guys is completely overrated and wouldn't eat there unless forced.

I eat an unhealthy amount of these, it will probably be my lunch tomorrow
EDIT: I feel like I say this in every food thread but the Wild Mountain was the best, all covered in buffalo sauce
