So I get home at around 9-ish (EST) and decide to sit down and grind. Chug boosts that have accumulated in my stash and then just go and punch Doc Ock in the damn face until 3 AM. I don't have anything I need to do tomorrow so I might as well enjoy my day off. With all the boosts Cap was netting around 5 orbs per a run. I figured I'd could knock down on the 400 or so runs I need for the controller and earn Omegas at once. Combining the two tasks with the boost made tedious tasks possible.
I may have gotten carried away...
It's a very good thing I don't have to do anything tomorrowtoday.

Is that a random drop, or do you have to do something specific for it ?

It's a boss drop from Doc Ock
Also, I hit my omega goal for this event, got up to 3k
Also, I hit my omega goal for this event, got up to 3k
As far as I know, it's not available as a drop yet, you can only get it from the achievement for killing Doc Ok about 500 times.

Guys.
Guys.
Guys.
I want to petition to change Taskmaster's signature to "Chow Yun Fat Marathon"
My evidence:
Either that or give him a move that shows how he watched some videos in fast forward.
(spoiler cause it is big)

My favorite part from the UDON comic has to be.
shoots guy.
Guy moves fast.
Guy opens hand.
Guy catches bullet.
Tasky does thing completely new and goes into Fast Forward speed, which he has learned he can do in short bursts.
His final opponent, the head of the Yakuza, shoots him. Tasky falls down. Yakuza head walks over to gloat over his corpse.
He opens his hand.
He caught the bullet.
Photographic reflexes bitch.

so I finished up the story; I think I made it to level 31 or something
what's the best way to proceed from there? Just do legendary quests on the way to 60? Some terminal thing (those seem boring though)
Yep legendaries are your best bet. If you can afford it, re-roll the dumb ones (anything not in a terminal or midtown, oh and also reroll doom terminal, because fuck that terminal).
They are the best xp per time spent, plus they give you an end game resource.

Industry City is also acceptable. Really, just reroll the ones that send you to the story (and some terminals, depending on preference)

Thought they would put in a lv80 version of Power Cosmic for this. Guess not.

Doom terminal is only worth it if the Doom Terminal is also on the shared quest list for the day.

Taskmaster continues to have all the good lines. Mostly becuase of Steve Blum's delivery.
"Holy hell...I'm just going to stand out of your field of vision."
-reaction to seeing Ghost Rider in Avengers Tower.
1000 Omegas on the night. 1200 for the event. A bit under 1400 to go.
So in all serious how the hell do you grind 1k omega points in a night. Even a quick Kurse run is lucky to earn you two when the server side is maxed.
I ground 2000 last night. I was running about 800% client side XP boosts with the Omega boost server side as well as the multiplicative 50% Avenger boost (i.e play Cap/Hawk/Thor/IM/BW/Hulk/Vision) and the Omega event reduction in Omega cost I was netting right around 5 omega orbs per a Doc Ock run.
Though "night" is stretching that definition. It was closer to like 8 hours for me. So definitely not a night of normal playing by any means.
So now that the Omega craziness is over, who is interested in tackling Axis raid? I know scherb is, we can try to see who we have and if we can work out a time or something.
Need ~50s dummy time to be able to dps the Sents down.

Did they ever change the training room so times aren't changed by other people in the room?

I'm only at like 90s on the raid dummy on iceman (without signature or ultimate), whom I believe is my best geared.
e: That is without vulnerability apparently. My iceman build doesn't have a way of applying it atm.

Max out boosts. I was running with ~990% character side boost all night on Cap. So 216% server side, 50% Avenger and 990% personal is 3.16*1.50*10.90 so 5166.6% XP. Techincally you can push maxing out the boosts harder, I think the cap for that is closer to 1300% but I didn't have some pots.

You can use your sig on the test, just no ulting! I thought you could vuln the dummy? I know unaware doesn't work though.
No, I mean I don't have a power specc'd that causes vuln on him.

So, what you guys are telling me is that Taskmaster figured out how to do bullettime by watching John Woo movies in fast forward.
...Yeah, okay. That's pretty great.
No no no. He watched the John Woo marathon and learned the bullshit hit the guys, grab the guns, shoot their faces.
He was trying to figure out how to storm a Yakuza base and was rushing through his tapes and realized that he could mimic the moves in fastforward, but only for short bursts because his body isn't superhuman, it's just doing the reflexes.
He gets to a guy that he can't beat with his handgun, so he has to fistfight, but he's injured and the dude is a badass that catches bullets.
So he starts doing his moves in fastforward and the guy gets wrecked. And then
he gets shot by the Yakuza boss.
But, because moments earlier when he saw his opponent catch the bullet from his handgun, he was able to perfectly replicate it.
He had seen the move not two minutes ago, and used it to survive a near point blank shot.

Yeah, he certainly didn't drop any of them. Or his arms for that matter though I have a bunch of those already.

Bwah? Ice Slick is right there. Even if you only one point it the duration is still decent and it's a nice AoE.
Definitely worth it even if you're going melee heavy.
