You can see what a remarkable difference Cap 2 was compared to Cap 1 and Avengers. In Cap 1 he would just kick a guy kind of far. In Cap 2 he would fluidly kick a couple of guys and shield toss a dude in like the same motion and it was so great.

So I'm going to start getting the JL Darkseid War issues and as an accompaniment I'll get the JL volume 6 collection coming out at the end of the month, it's 10 issues at only 25 retail which is a pretty good deal. Despite the opinions of most here I enjoyed Forever Evil well enough (just the main series) and I want to check out the aftermath. Might get the FE tie-in volume as well.

sometimes I wonder if that's part of the point
like, how much hand-to-hand combat training did he get in Cap 1 really

Well, the super soldier serum is also supposed to make him a tactical genius, process information faster, and do insane stupid shit like calculate how to throw his shield so it always returns to him as an instinct.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

versus working out and shit with SHIELD
Oh almost certainly.
What would happen if the bestest soldier got all the bestest training and was the bestest at it? It was cool to see him go from kind of throwing haymakers and winging his shield at people to all the elaborate bounces and super precise training that we got in WS.

Captain America played Batman: Arkham Asylum after Avengers.

Thanks for all the suggestions regarding Hickmans Fantastic Four. I just noticed Comixology has the entire Fantastic Four/FF by Hickman in a discounted bundle for way cheaper than buying all the physical trades, so I'll see if I can squeeze some spare money towards it. I might skip Dark Reign though since that's not part of the bundle, nor is it on sale.

I'm almost certain this post was just a joke
But actually, yeah, sort of
If I remember correctly, Chris Evans pushed for Cap being more agile in fights due to having played the tie-in game for the first Cap, which has Arkham Asylum style combat

Chris Evans played a movie tie-in video game? He's truly an artist willing to suffer for his craft.

It's as good as it's ever been. The post FE stuff saw the book re-energized in a big away, and the prologue and first issue of Darkseid War have been a blast. I will warn you though that the FE tie-in stuff was split between origin story issues for the crime syndicate, which were uniformly terrible, and a really awesome Cyborg story where he rallied the Metal men and fought the Grid.
The Chlois theory was the theory that Chloe Sullivan would eventually grow up to become the iconic character of Lois Lane, Clark Kent's girlfriend and reporting partner at the Daily Planet. However this theory was virtually scrapped as Chloe began to find her own unique destiny as Watchtower and as the wife of Oliver Queen.
Oh, that's interesting, I wonder what...
The biggest evidence against the Chlois theory is the introduction of Erica Durance as Lois Lane in Season 4.
That seems like pretty good evidence...
Chlois supporters counter that names and families don't matter, and that Chloe is more similar to the iconic Lois Lane than Smallville's version of Lois.

oh
Didn't Smallville kill Jimmy Olson and then introduce his brother who had the same name and thus was the "real" Jimmy Olson?
Eventually, the Chlois theory did not become reality, but supporters of the Chlois theory point out that it doesn't matter if Chloe actually changed her name to Lois Lane. In their view, Chloe's character clearly demonstrates the characteristics of the iconic Lois Lane. In this "Names Don't Matter" version of the Chlois theory, Alison Mack's Chloe Sullivan has become the spiritual heir to the comic book concept of Lois Lane.
On the other hand, other fans have pointed out that it did become reality in a very different manner, stating that Lois has been taking over Chloe's traits, especially in season 8,[1] and many viewers have criticized the destruction of a character to build up another[2][3][4][5] while others claim it was an homage. However, as Chloe embraces her role as Watchtower, more and more viewers began to realize that Chloe Sullivan has her own calling, one that not even the "real" Lois Lane could have.

This article is about the Daily Planet photographer known as Henry James Olsen. For his younger brother, see James Olsen. For his Earth-Majestic doppelganger, see Hank Olsen (Earth-Majestic).

I think I heard the inspiration for that scene was "what if you trapped a bear in an elevator?"

The pitch was trapping a gorilla in a roomful of trained soldiers.
This is also Gabe Newell's philosophy.

IIRC, the second teaser from yesterdays was supposed to be todays.
Here is the MC Bat Commander with the issue of Legendary Star-Lord where they sing an Aquabats song
Netflix should totally pick them up.

Probably the best of the shitty Sega MCU tie ins
Shit was about to get real
