And now the Deep Sea King has been officially introduced. I think his name has been spoiled here before, but it's not like it's a remotely important spoiler so yeah. He rules the ocean much like the Underground King from chapter four ruled beneath the earth before he got stomped on by Saitama.
He's also pretty damn strong. Fuck yeah, Sea King.

I love how all you guys are completely ignoring the potential psychological trauma of switching to an entirely different body. She`s got robot lungs and robot hair because that`s what her brain is used to.
And you're ignoring all the options to mitigate that trauma!
You could build in some sort of a filtering system that made you see your own thousands of glittering pincers as hands and legs, and have it slowly alter into your current form as you grew more comfortable. Your brain and body are not separate entities, the brain is just an organ. If your broken brain can't handle not having shitty robot lungs, you can change that!
there's so much that is dumb about the design of bodies that have to be grown via self-replication from embryos (with all the difficulty with gastrulation) that you'd think any sensible robot body constructed for a conflict-prone environment would dispense with them
like, tidal lungs for oxidation are just terrible. Terrible.
what are the alternatives
legit asking, it's 4am and I don't have the capacity to break down the question into googlable components
one inlet, one outlet so that air can flow through continuously, rather than one shared hole that forces a cycle.
it's difficult to grow holes in a body and then secure them against infection, and it's nigh impossible to grow axles (and thereby wheels, and thereby fans), but robots wouldn't have to deal with construction difficulties
There was also a guy that had an artificial heart which pumped blood through his body in a steady flow. As a result, he had no heartbeat.
I mean, all we've seen of her new body is a brief glimpse, we don't know how it works or what it can do - and it looks like it's not even done yet, unless she's leaving the arm as just robot-looking so it looks cool.
Maybe she doesn't use the lungs for breathing. Maybe she uses them to draw in air and then introduce a combustible gas to the mix before revealing a lighter on one of her fingers. Cue dragon breath.

when you call your Dad this Father's Day, sing him a song that expresses how you feel about the relationship between father and child.
I suggest Harry Chapin's Cat's in the Cradle.

It's just funny that how after all that buildup the big reveal of her super awesome new robot body that was a big step for her to take and everyone else in the story was worried about just turns out to be her but with more muscles and bigger boobs. Maybe the least imaginative result possible.
Aistan on

There are better designs.
I mean you can argue one and only one useful reason for keeping a human body: infiltration.
And frankly, why bother? If you're the size of a skyscraper and filled with trillions of metallic bees, you're winning a stand-up fight.

It pretty much just seems like she's going full Kusanagi

Diaz is getting, like, 5k a month from Patreon
How does that even happen.
He's made like 20 comic pages in the past 2 years.
Frankie.
Just start adding one or two to your order everytime you buy something from amazon.
His art is pretty, some of the concepts he uses are interesting... I quite like Aaron Diaz's work. The man himself, I could take or leave.
I played this game Satuday. It was called "Shoot your friends".

I may or may not know anything about Star Trek.
Also, she might be able to turn into a centaur.
Still envisioning Frankie when I read that.
