Deebs had a babby!!

life's a game that you're bound to lose / like using a hammer to pound in screws
fuck up once and you break your thumb / if you're happy at all then you're god damn dumb
that's right we're on a fucked up cruise / God is dead but at least we have booze
bad things happen, no one knows why / the sun burns out and everyone dies

I was actually thinking earlier today that I should put together my chat op about Mystery Men. Well, mostly about The Bowler.

But you know what they say, prepare a chat and never get picked.

United Passions sounds like a movie you'd stumble onto at 2AM on Cinemax.

2 tickets. 2 tickets sold on opening night in LA. I love it.

The director has come out and said like "Fucking hell, now I'm just this propagandist asshole. I'm not FIFA, I'm not corrupt, but I said yes and fuck me"

there was apparently a bit where they get arrested for corruption and FIFA nixed it

read a review this morning, 1/6. It had the potential to be really interesting, because the stories are all there, but FIFA, knowing nothing, forced a version that's nothing but a glossy picture, in a remarkable display of not getting it at all

    Silicon Valley started off weak.

I think the jerking scene really is the point where it gains momentum.

every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.

the "no true scotch man" fallacy.

The tech is halfway decent, which says a lot for a TV show, but (season 2 spoilers)

If this is supposed to be a hammy comedy as opposed to serious, it's working quite well, I legitimately found this amusing
