M&M does a pretty good job of adapting the d20 system to Supers. I mean it just had to rip out the class system, the magic systems, the XP system and rebuild from scratch. And honestly, it's the best adaptation of d20 to some other genre I've ever seen.

It really does. Honestly, I suspect if I ran it I would just use Drama System just to hand wave the magic bits.

It amuses me a great deal that Robot Wars was called Battle Bots in the states.I'm guessing they were owned by different bodies and whichever came second did just the bare minimum to avoid trademark infringement.

TNT aired a Robot Wars globalized series. I'm guessing it's trademark issues.

I think that's fine for four color, a bit problematic for other sub-genres.

Makes me think of Mark Henry's 'Sexual Chocolate' WWE phase.

Which was one of the weirdest things in the attitude era, which is a really high bar.

It ended with an elderly ex-wrestler (Mae Young) giving birth to a hand.

It was never really explained why this was the case.

Also Mark Henry had possibly the fattest WWE contract other than maybe Rock & Stone Cold, a millions per year 10 year deal. And only by the very end of it was he any good. McMahon signed him purely on looks.

You can change a d20 system to a 3d6 system in order to smooth it out, you get a lot more average rolls that way.

I remember an old anti-D&D movie where here's a character generation scene:

DM: *Rolls 3d6* 180 IQ... *Rolls again* 18 stamina... *Rolls again*
Player: Seven charisma! That's the highest I've ever seen, you couldn't roll much better than that!

    Player pls

20 cats attack the assassin. They all hit for a combined damage of 50 HP. The people thought the king was mad for dismissing his bodyguards for a herd of cats. How wrong they are.

it's a goofy/cute looking plane in general, but NASA aren't the only ones to use it

For big dramatic things like that you just have to step outside the mechanics, I think. The assassin kills the king, no rolls required. The king is wearing plate armour underneath his robes, and the blade only wounds him. The king is a dual-wielding secret jedi NPC controlled by the GM and if you roll your eyes the GM will kill your character.
