If I missed anyone's questions, now would be the time to re ask. I'm not going to dig back through 96 pages.
who is your favorite character on once upon a time and which disney/fairy tale character would you like to see them add in the future

Tube, how old were you when you became admin? And what advice would you give yourself with your current experiences?

What was the feature suggested once that was so diabolical that you had to turn down on moral grounds but you thought would have been great?
so tube as this thread nears its end what have your takeaways been from it
Oy, that's a good question. I'm not sure I know myself yet. We'll be unpacking it in the mod forum for sure.
I think one of my main takeaways has been that I should be clearer about why we're doing things. Seeing people full on blank a troll in the Steam thread and increased report rates showed me that once people new the reason why we ask them to do some things, they were more than happy to help out. I assume that my genius is too self-evident.
There are some people that didn't ask questions who I was expecting to. I don't think that's a good sign.
There are a lot of smaller problems that we've been letting run away with us, so I was reminded to get on that.
I had a meeting with product dev at Vanilla about some improvements people asked for. Hopefully I can get that train running fairly quickly.
We're going to be restructuring some things soon, partly based on feedback from here.
There were other things, but a side effect of the thread taking shape over a week means that it's hard to keep my thoughts organised. I'll be reading back on it.
Tube, would you think it would be fair to say that while you don't value transparency in the actual forming of decisions or the nitty gritty of the moderation process, you think its important for people to know why big decisions were made?
In other words: important to know why rules are rules, but not so much to know the nitty gritty of how they're enacted?
Just curious based on what you just said compared to the stuff earlier in the thread, theyre different but linked issues and I find that interesting

With regards to this, are there questions you were expecting people to ask that weren't asked? If so, would you mind posting what those are? And like, the answers too I guess.

I think when you're trying to elicit a specific user behaviour, it's good to explain why. It should also be clear to member's why things are the way they are, and why certain policies exist. I don't feel the need to publicly open up the infraction or report forums, or get into the nitty gritty of everyday decisions.

I couldn't be too specific really. I was expecting to be approached from some different angles, that's all. That could mean that HEY I'M DOING A GREAT JOB. It could also mean that for various reasons people didn't feel there was any point in asking.
Can we avoid having forum-wide "games" in the future, where you are automatically opted in, and then are banned when you don't participate?
Like what happened with the Valentine's game? The idea was fun, and maybe threatening a ban was to make people participate, but I don't think a ban is necessary. People will participate anyhow.

We'll think about that with future forum games. Those take a lot of work, so I don't know when the next one will be.
So, my question is: Other than "Follow the Rules" as that goes without saying, is there anything we as posters can do to make this forum an even radder place than it currently is?

I'd forgotten about that Valentines one. Yeah, I really did not like being forced into that one in particular. I ignore Valentines in all of its forms and am content to let other people have their fun, so being forced into a game with Valentines as the focus, with a ban being threatened if I did not comply, really rankled me.

Hookers and blow.
Failing that, strippers and booze.
Failing that, I have no idea.
That's your answer to everything though!

I don't know if this the thread to ask, but is there any chance for an improvement to the mobile site in regards to how quotes are handled?

For charity, sure. I find them interesting and fun enough to do for that purpose, but they're too time consuming to do for my own enjoyment. I'd be more likely to take a critical angle than a "hahaha look how bad this game is" type of thing that I did before, because that's the kind of Let's Play I enjoy more myself.

Perhaps "Ask" is meant to be used as an adjective, or more specifically an attributive verb.
If there's a thread which is just going balls to the wall, and I come across a post which I think is way beyond the rules and I report it, and then keep reading and see more posts by other users later on which I would on their own have reported as well; should I continue to report those posts or should I trust that in investigating the original report the mods would look in further and see all the posts within x number of posts of the original report?

It's better to say in your report "the rest of his posts are just as bad" or whatever. If there is some other super egregious post that you want to make sure we see, maybe hit that one too. Generally that'll be enough. The same person reporting like seven posts in the same thread gets a little obnoxious.

these are good choices because peter pan was rumpletstiltskin's dad and the show could use more representation of this country's rich diversity

The only Indian place near me that delivers charges a $10 fee and $20 minimum order. I am but one man!
I do know a great hole-in-the-wall Thai place when I need to get my curry on though.

People would just think I was a mounty unfortunately. This year I'm going as a slutty shark.
