I think fire elemental Annie does not agree with how things are and hates Anthony. In her immediate rage she focuses all her will to burn it.

Imagine everything great and beautiful about the animated series Mr. Freeze and his wife.

Now imagine they took everything about it and took a big ol' dump on it.

Thunderstruck plays with scissors, and establises some boundaries. (Gail may be showing off to re-establish some credibility after getting beaten up so easily earlier, too)

Nobody remembers the singer. The song remains.

Lazara is apparently from when they tried to use the Lazarus pit on her and she became a supervillain with fire powers and could raise the dead.

Then they rebooted everything and *sigh* they made it so she and him were never married, she had a heart condition in WWII and was frozen, and the Frieze was just...super obsessive over her. And...yeah it's just fucking A man.

aaah ok the reboot where he actually meets her while she's already frozen. Yeah the old story was a lot better.

I'm not even sure if Lazara is the worst thing they did to that relationship.

    Last time I checked,
Mister Freeze never married Nora, it was a delusional obsession. Because god forbid a Batman villain have some pathos rooted in sanity.

Yeah, that was the second thing I put up there. And that really is the thing that takes the biggest dump on them.

BTAS is pretty much the only good thing to ever happen to Mr. Freeze.

before that he was a dead d list villain that everyone had forgotten about.

Also, that was kinda BTAS's thing.

They made two joke characters into two really interesting ones and made two joke designs into two classic ones.

I am talking about Mr. Freeze and Clock King.

That lazara thing was actually a plot line in Batman Beyond, concerning Inque's escape.

That episode was actually quite squeamish for me, hoisted by one's own petard and all that.

I really hope GiGi watched BB next, its like Spiderman getting trained by Batman.

And they literally created Harley Quinn

BTAS has been pretty influential, though nowadays it appears to have been supplanted by a Dark Knight [Returns] love.

They couldn't 'kill' anyone on the show.

But they could have them become intangible and sink slowly to the bottom of the earth's core to die a horrible death in darkness and starvation.

The "I am vengeance, I am the Night, I AM BATMAN!" is one of the coolest things from the show.

    Fun Story

Right after 9/11 happened, Convoy offered to help out with the relief effort, working in a kitchen to help feed the relief effort people. Eventually, a guy he was working with goes "Hey, are you an actor?"

    "Sure am!"

    "What kind of acting?"

"Well lately Id o mostly voice work"

"I knew it, you're Batman! Can I tell the guys?"

    "Pffff, no one's gonna care."

"Are you kidding?! Hey guys, Batman cooked your dinner!"

    *a moment of silence passes*

    "bullshit! prove it!"

Conroy: "I am Vengeance, I am the night, I AM BATMAN":

    *a moment passes*

    "Holy fuck, it IS Batman!"

which is basically the worst thing
Dark Knight Returns is hardly the worst thing, it's sort of a classic, though it is pretty old and sounds like it's got a real hard time meshing with the good elements from that animated stuff.

no I mean the fact that it's become the template for what a lot of people think Batman should always be is the worst thing
