I think I'm gonna make room in my sideboard for mizzium meddler. It's good for random stuff but I'm mainly scared of shaman of forgotten ways. It's the cheapest blue creature with flash that also has a sometimes relevant ability. And being able to effectively counter sfw's biorhythm is awesome since it's, you know, one of the three ways most decks can beat turbofog.
I think I'm gonna join some kind of Origins league tonight? It looks like it starts off as a small sealed pool and then you get to draft more cards into your pool over the next few weeks?
It seems interesting.

If they put out a card that comes pre-printed to look beat up, I don't know how I'd resist playing 4 of them in every deck.

"We know how much players enjoyed the Full Art Lands from original Zendikar block. Magic players love exiciting and unique ways to express themselves through their basic land choices. As such, as we return to Zendikar we are proud to present players with a bold new option:
No Art Lands"

Just the word "Plains" in large, monospace font. Or maybe just the color abbreviation. ('U'? What the hell color is 'U'? the newbie says).
Or would the card just be the appropriate solid color? If I just made some solid color lands for my deck, would that be legal? I'm actually tempted to do this now....

Was cubing with friends last night when this happened next to me, GB Rock playing against GU Upheaval.
Rock has the Upheaval deck down to ten, with a Thragtusk on board to protect against Upheaval, the Upheaval deck has a few artifacts from ramping and has a ton of mana on the table.
Rock player casts Demonic Pact, swings in with Thragtusk then casts Sign in Blood on the GU player to drop him to 3 so he's in range of both Demonic Pact or the token if Thragtusk goes away then passes turn.
GU player untaps, draws then taps out with a shit eating grin and casts

A complicated form of procrastination requiring one to wholly thrust one's self into some (at least undesirable, often unnecessary or of low priority) task in order to temporarily avoid or distract one from another more evil or imminent task/obligation. Trompling is best accomplished in an agitated or frantic state, and usually late at night. The sequence of events only makes sense to the trompler. Not to be confused with trample.
Instead of getting ready to make it to her co-worker's annual mustache bash in a timely manner, Zoe trompled her apartment searching for that long lost gumball machine ring that would have matched her outfit perfectly.

Actually if they did stylized/detailed art of the mana symbols (sun, skull, tree etc.), that could be pretty sweet looking.
Literally give me lands that are pure white, blue, black, green, and red cards.

I'm sad that the flavor text isn't some variation of "Heads, I win."
No
You know what else happens tonight? My girlfriends cousin arrives to stay with us for a week.
Which means no ORI drafting for me for a week. GRRRRR TIMING.
Feel: "If creature destroys another creature in combat, it gets sad about it and does not untap during its next untap step"
