    Kharazim info:
    • He's definitely capable of being a solo support. You can get a lot of healing off his W.
    • DPS is possible, but it's more about the absolute burst of his Q and E once talented.
    • Seven-Sided palm might be good as a healer since it does make him invulnerable. Something to consider if you are healing but may need some dps.
    • His trait is just every three attacks, regardless of time or target. You can prime his trait by hitting minions or walls so you can start off with slightly more DPS or healing.
    • His traits proc off everything. DPS Kharazim DESTROYS buildings.
    • Needless to say, his wave clear is terrible, even as DPS spec. Kharazim is 100% single target.
    • Kharazim might fare poorly against comps with heavy AoE, because his healing requires the team to be clumped. Beware Sylvanas, Butcher, Gazlowe, and similar heroes.

    Yeah, I played him a bit last night, he is really fun. If you are against one, just walk away from him. 7 sided strike, just walk out of the area. Q dash talent, just walk away.

    I do think he is a solid solo support.

    Anyone else think it is crazy that if Kharazim catches anyone alone at or below 49% health, he can murder them instantly and with invulnerability? Quite a feat for a support.

    Not quite instant, they can walk out of the Kharazim-centered AoE.

    It is a good support damage ult though.

    Kerrigan traits look like a wash. I do like the buffed sprint though. Gathering power is dead long live reduced cooldown decoys.

    I just got caught up on the thread. Did not see any mention of the following patch note, which is pretty huge.
    All players’ Hero and Team League ranks have been reset with today’s update.
    Please Note: Matchmaking ratings have not been reset.

    Sucks for all our rank 1's. Sucks for those of us who were closing in on rank 1.

    Had a shitagious experience in my 2nd league game last night.

    How good are Blizzard with responding to reports of abusive players? If I wanted to hear shittalk from a 14-year-old who take shit WAY too seriously I'd go play LoL.

    Other than that this game is great.

    I take my games somewhat seriously, as any hobby.

    There is a definite point of overdoing it, but if you were playing any sports and someone wasn't trying to play right or even just learn, you would kick then out of the team and play with someone else instead.

    In video games some people see nothing wrong in not trying or actively ignoring advice, and that just irks me. Yes, it's just a game. But a game has rules you follow, or else why even play?

    That being said, there's the flames by players who suck way too much themselves to even have any right to meaningfully critic someone else, and I want to punch those over standard tcp/ip

    Hrm, hammer got buffed... I'll try her again when she's free. I didn't like the lock down playstyle the one time I tried her, but maybe now that seige mode is more ... fluid... it won't bother me as much.

    She has that ridiculously awesome skin coming so I kinda want to play her. :-)

    I missed a couple of pages of thread overnight, so someone may have commented on this, but they've merged Merc Lord and Superiority into one talent at lvl 4 for Anub'arak, Arthas, Azmodan, Gazlowe, Nazeebo, Sonya, Stitches, and The Lost Vikings

    I was practicing Jaina with some PA folks last night and we were on Garden. Enemy team had a Nova who was gunning for me the whole match. She initially got several kills while I was travelling after being damaged. Once she hit 10 she nailed me 3 or 4 times with a pinning shot + orbital strike + snipe, +1 or 2 AA, killing me from full each time. It was frustrating, sure, but it was also exactly what Nova's made to do so good going that Nova. It wasn't that I was splitting off or anything, either, once she'd killed me the first couple times. That map offers a lot of opportunity to hide.

    In other news I hadn't read through the other hero changes being made last night but now I have. I'm excited to be able to try out Brightwing again as well as seeing how the extra health and healing (vs heroes) Sonya gets help them. I forgot about Brightwing as an additional counter to Zeratul because I had written her off as unplayable, but now that might change.

    Hammer is amazing. She alone will win games if your team supports her.

    I was running at 2-3 FPS with @Khraul and once our pub team realized that hammer melts things we went from losing to completely dominating on sky temple.

    Also, did I read that right that on battlefield of eternity the placement spot for the eternals is always known now for the first shift???


    That's huge. Lets some heroes set up their traps ahead of time (gazlowe, hammer get into siege and get her gravitating range increase, zag tumors, etc.).

    This link from reddit indicates that you can link your ps4 account to battle.net so I assume that you can link other consoles... it grants a reward in game on your console version of D3, so I'd also assume it works both ways and grants Battle.net rewards for D3 console progress...

    ...a lot assumptions on there....

    You may have to test this for us ;-)

    Hammer is amazing. She alone will win games if your team supports her.

    hammer is bad right now. zera, jaina, and kael (rip) currently all hard counter her. the hp buff helps a bit, but she's still squishy and very vulnerable.

    Dude, that match was sick... top siege damage and top xp contribution to @MMMig who, at the time, was running on zero frames per second...

    Made me wanna pick up Hammer.

    Also playing with fellow PA'ers is solid gold.

    For sure. We played a TL match vs a Hammer team and got our butts handed to us. They did a really good job of keeping us within her range but keeping her out of our range. We just couldn't touch her. It was amazing.

    I didn't like being so stationary, though. I'm really big on keeping my heroes moving so siege mode gave me issues.

    The dev comments show that both talents had a super low pickrate, also they sat at different levels depending on the hero (level 4/7)... Blizz's solution was to merge remove Superiority and roll it's functionality into Merc lord at level 4 for the heroes I'd mentioned.

    From the notes - The new combined functionality reads: Non-Boss Mercenaries near your Hero deal 50% more damage. Reduces damage taken from Minions and Mercenaries by 50%.

    I think that they hope that with the functions paired people might actually pick it over other skills... I know on Sonya it seems like a pretty solid pick at 4 now.

    I'm finally reading all the general talent changes....

    Gathering power might as well be removed and replaced with a useful talent at that level for each hero... it's just awful now.

    Bolt got a needed change... it's just about a mandatory pick on some heroes and at 40 seconds you could use it every single engagement at 20+.... now players might have to rely on better positioning rather than an always available panic button.

    The cleanse changes are ok? As quick as some stuns and affects are in this game you've gotta be ON THE BUTTON to use it effectively... I know I'm often not fast enough to make good use of it, but the addition of Relentless is good.

    Imposing presence used to be a good teamwide talent... I kinda wish they'd just nerfed the slow amount more and left it as a lasting effect instead of it being removed as soon as your attacker changes target... Keeps the tank alive more effectively, but doesn't provide any support for your team anymore.... meh.

    Seasoned Marksman... I never play assassins and I've never used this talent... I have no input here.

    I'm glad they didn't fiddle with Battle Momentum.

    "Jaina is really strong right now, so we are making a buff to Ring of Frost and an insignificant nerf to Water Elemental" :P. Okkkk... I'll take no real nerfs, that's fine...

    I wonder if the free Diablo will do anything with the whole dynamic bundle thing, or if it's just a nothing thing since I already own Diablo. Wouldn't mind some free gold instead ;)

    It's funny to me that most of the Kerrigan changes are changing generic abilities into basically the same ability but themed more towards her.

    Not to belabor the point, but regarding Zeratul being OP, here's one of the times Nova took me out. I was at almost full health, engaged from behind the rest of our guys, and Nova erased me. Yeah she used her ult to do it, but you could also argue that with a 60 second death timer and cooldown that she can effectively just camp our base and kill me every time I come out.

    Yeah, actually. With the loss of the damage and chill (which is the important part) on arrival. It definitely changes it's use. No longer your guaranteed instant chill combo opener. Now more your single target finisher / CC / focus tool.

    Ah... I mostly used it to keep the chill effect on targets, which I'm pretty sure it still does? Or am I misunderstanding the change?

    with either zera or nova you have to be careful about your pathing, positioning, and splitting from the group when playing squishy characters. you can also tailor you talents a bit for more defense and ask your team to try to be aware of jumping on them when they are out of stealth.

    I think Zera could have also easily eliminated you in those situations and had a better escape to boot.

    Yeah, the ability to pre-apply Chill to a large number of targets was HUGE.

    Right now, Jaina's combo after level 10 is R -> E -> W -> Q, with Water Elemental enabling the Frostbite bonus on 3 of her spells.
    Water Elemental's attacks still apply chill but summoning Water Elemental does not apply chill. So, the combo after the nerf is reduced to E->W->Q (basically w/e Jaina is doing pre lvl 10) or W->E->Q if you have numbing blast, which is a whole bunch of slow/damage lost.

    There was no pathing/positioning/splitting involved in this example, however. Nova went Q/W/R/AA on me and I died. The W ensured that I couldn't avoid the orbital strike. Since Nova can position herself anywhere when she's cloaked, she basically has a Jaina instakill button. Zeratul can't do as much damage instantaneously (once she presses R she can run). He'd have to to have blinked in next to me where someone in my team potentially could have noticed him and shut him down before he was able to secure the kill.

    Anyway, I'm arguing FOR this type of play, not against it. I just wanted to show an example where Nova was every bit as lethal as Zeratul, and to say that this is what the stealth characters do. I don't see a way to nerf them without making them useless.

    Now I'll shut up about it. :-)

    Depends which rewards you're looking for. You might be able to get free Diablo this way, but you would definitely need the PC version of Diablo 3 to get the mount (console version doesn't have seasons).

    I'm ok with the Karl/Jaina nerfs regardless of how big or small they are.... it'd be nice to see some variety in HL other than the mandatory mage picks/counterpicks.

    This is why they need bans.

    @Grundlestiltskin Well poo... I was hoping the console version could net me the mount... my stepson has been asking about getting D3 for the PS4 and that means he and I could get wife-sanctioned video game time. (VS Hots, which he doesn't play, and I can't play as much of if the family is around, for fear of wife aggro). Maybe I'll get him a PC copy of his own...
