I can't stand the lack of map control and the fast time to kill. Most of my deaths are people melting me before I can respond, the other half comprise of getting shot in the back because spawns.
I've been watching some streams seeing if I really want to go back to COD and while the game looks good it just smells of "3 months and we're done" with it and that makes it not worth a console purchase and whatnot.
Once people learn the maps, it'll be more enjoyable I think. Of course, playing with other peeps from PA will help, too.
I'll have to see what I can get for Advanced Warfare from GameStop or wherever. I keep meaning to play through the campaign, but I don't know if I can really get up the energy to bother.

Just from watching about 25 minutes of stream yesterday I identified where the spawnflip occurred on one map and where you could position to effectively farm kills and run a full blown spawn trap. The spawn system in BO3 isn't exactly what I'd call robust.

I'd say the only COD people had the real ground to stand on for TTK was Ghosts with the odd net code and certain attachment combos making already fast guns faster kills (Honey Badger + single shot = 2 shot kill any range). They fixed the lag comp as it went on and the TTK became less melty. Still waiting on the X1 beta but the twitch streams I've watched makes me feel that the TTK in this game is around the AW to BO2 levels. You can take hits and dive/jump/sprint to cover and survive.
It definitely feels like call of duty. Take that however you will. Me and Vacorsis just played 6 or 7 rounds. It's alright. Have they announced what the final maps total is yet?
I'm sitting at a 1.37 k/d, which I believe is exactly my lifetime K/D in MW2? But way lower than any treyarch CoD other than that garbagetime W@W game. Haven't called in any kill streaks other than UAV, so who knows if the "Treyarch makes super boring killstreaks" thing is still a thing.

You mean the thing you could use exactly the same way? I mean, the clusters on the Hellstorm were a way better use, but you could just use it like the Predator.
Since I'll maybe only have time for one game with school and a pregnant wife, it's gonna be the one with dedicated servers. If this game has it for X1, I'll be happy to switch over from Destiny.
Maybe it'll be nice to go back to a game with a flatter spread of stats too. I'll have to keep an eye on this.
Game is pretty sweet! Still not gonna day one it outside of GameFly, but I definitely like it. Just have to remember the AW side dash is not in this game...

A heads up for anyone getting the PC version. You can currently get it for 25% off at GMG with SLICKD-EALS25-OFFGMG. It doesn't seem like it'll give access to the beta, though.

It occurred to me earlier that with the inclusion of specialists BLOPSIII is the closet thing to a modern GI Joe game we could ask for.
I think they probably didn't want to have any customization on the looks of the specialists so that they can always be easily identified. At one look at them you can understand what kind of special threat they might have.
Man the PS4 pad is way more comfier than I thought it'd be. The game definitely feels more like BLOPS than AW. I really should try a few more guna before the Beta ends though. When's the next phase?
The longer this series goes on the closer it get to accepting its destiny and just full on turning into The Specialists. They just need to say fuck it and add a bullet time kill streak and stunt diving.
