@Ayefkay Looks like you might of been unfortunate enough to visit the site when I was attempting to redirect the podcast url, it didn't go smoothly and there was a period where the sites redirection rules were broken. You're probably working with a bad cache, try a different browser or try visiting by typing "https" explicitly.
You're right though, explicit http appears broken, I'll look in to it.
The solution is to never use http cause you shouldn't anyway :P "pinnypals.com" will also work, just don't explicitly type 'http' and update any bookmarks.
@grgemonkey doesn't seem to have posted it yet, but he mention on Slack that he's updated how we edit our pin collections now. Much more intuitive (PICTURES!).
It should be mentioned that @madoruk coded the new profile page He actually did it a few months ago but some unnamed guy hauled up the process integrating it! For shame!
I'd like to suggest some visual indication that a particular pin has variants. At the moment (to my knowledge) the only way to know if a pin has variants is to click on it..
You could maybe start dividing them into sections, maybe with a drop down menu, to only show pins from a certain pax, year, limited edition, online, etc

Default to collapsed sections by PAX (or purchased, or other categories) per year, only with the current year to be default expanded, load images upon expanding the collapsed section?
Pins for trade!

Edit: Welp ... disabling adblock got me working again!
Can you post exactly what ad blocking extension you were using? I want to try and reproduce the issue, and maybe we can see exactly why the images are getting flagged as ads.
I made a small change that might help you. If it feels like it's not loading, trying scrolling first.
We need to sort out a better way to handle the hundreds of images, the problem is getting worse and worse hehe
Using a single CSS image sprite to combine all of the pin images and hosting that sprite on a geo-distributed CDN would drastically speed up first-time visits to the site. It would also increase responsiveness for repeat visits as there wouldn't be a few hundred HEAD requests to see that existing images are unmodified. If you'd like to do this and need any help, let me know.
@grgemonkey any chance you can add the "date trade was posted: " to the Trading Post page? It'd be nice to know which ones have been up since the dawn of time, and which are "newer".

Mmmm i'm aware of the concept and it has potential in groups of pins (to keep the file static, one big sprite would lose it's cache frequently).
The important question is, can you scale the image using this method? Pins are stored larger than displayed and there's many many different sizes they fit in to across the site, it's important they can be scaled from the one image or the maintenance of all these different sprite sheets might start outweighing any benefits.
As far as maintenance goes, you'd almost certainly want to store the image data in a database and use scripts to generate the sprite sheets and to insert the sprite images into pages. Doing any of that manually would inevitably result in one-off mistakes which would be very hard to catch.
Now I'm no big city English doctor, but wouldn't something like "[NAME] traded their" read better than "[NAME] did trade their"?
It sounds very Old Testament: "And Jeremiah did trade their pinny to brother Zacharia who did trade their pinny to brother Tomas and for a time it was good."

Development is not dead, my hobby time just shrivelled in to nothing as work ramped up to ultra overtime and grgemonkey is 110% ready to die.
The good news is, things should stabilise back to normal life soon. I'm excited to get back in to some PP dev, the site is my happy place.

A lot of new names are placeholders until more official names comes out. If the DSB merch pin has an official name I'm not aware of, let me know.

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but I can't see the new pins in any of the 3 sites/apps.
**Edit, looking at someone else's lanyard caused Pinnypals to refresh and they are visible now.

Yes, you can specify the background-size CSS property.
