Whaaaat am I doing something wrong here, or did people actually redeem ALL of the codes within a day without posting that they redeemed them here? I was really excited to check out the game with my fiance and his sister, but it looks like all those codes are used. Dang. Well the game looks like fun, so maybe I'll try it out someday, but it's gonna be a long while before all three of us are able to play together again. Boo.

Edit: As I now have a code courtesy of the redistribution of codes, I will totally play this and provide feedback soon!

Yep, that's what happened, one guy took all the codes. It's fucking shitty. A lot of people in the G&T Steam thread are buying copies to try and make up for it.

Of the Indie games I have played recently this game ranks right up there near the top in delivering what I was expecting. The controls being tight are first and foremost in a game of this type and boy are the controls razor sharp. I have only experienced a couple of slow downs so far and one bug. The music and art are just what I would expect in this throw back style game as well. Well done! I will do what promoting I can for the game.

Swapping back and forth from windowed and full screen crashes the game on my box. Let me know if there is a log file or eventid that you need me to post on it. And during the dog boss in stage one he does an attack that throws out three large slash beams that dropped framerate when he was in the 2+ add dog phase.

Again great job!

The game is really good, controls great and nice combo action.

However, it crashes all the time for me, if anyone now of some tricks to get it running smoothly that would be appreciated!

I can alreayd say I love the idea of rank in this game, I have a background playing a ton of shoot em ups like Battle Garegga where rank plays a big part. Will play the shit of this and give more feedback.

Already voted YES on Greenlight just cause any competently made game deserves to be on Steam. It's up to consumers as to whether or not they want to buy it, of course.

Though I just turned the game on and I'm already jamming to the music. Wish I didn't have to read the ReadMe file to figure out the best controller layout, though. There should really be a "default", or at least show me what button I'm setting each action to.

By the way, I'm going to guess fans of God Hand and all those "OMG HARD MODE" action games will enjoy this one. The good news is Aces Wild is much more accessible both in controls and in difficulty than God Hand while still being balls-to-the-wall hard (seriously, I can't get past the second boss on hardest difficulty yet). There are five (!) difficulty modes (easy-normal-hard-harder-hardest), so really you can adjust to a play that you want.

By the way, Area 7-4? Fuck that screen.

Soooo I said I was gonna play this about a month ago, but even after making sure my XNA and .NET were up-to-date, I couldn't actually get the game to open on my machine, even with the fixed EXE from your August 21st post. I saw there's an update on the Humble Bundle site... is that a more recent update? Since when I was last trying, at the beginning of September, there hadn't been an update. I'm going to give the game another shot with a different group of friends once I can get it working so that I can (presumably) start getting people to buy it!

Though this post was a bit ago, I'd like to note that there have been a few patches of recent. Aces Wild is more stable than ever, but it helps to download the full game rather than trying to replace the EXE with the newest iteration (although supposedly that can work sometimes).

I've been playing this game pretty heavily, and at the time of this writing have gotten as far as the final stage on second to highest difficulty (Maniac!!!). I've also been trying some early stages on the hardest difficulty, (Maximus!!!!). The final boss on Wild!! is quite a fight.

God damn it! I bought and love~ this game!

Though, there was an issue. The game crashed when I switched to the wrong resolution, from 1200 X 769 to 1600 X 900 (going from my TV to Laptop).
Had switch back and connect to my TV to get the game working and went back to a working resolution for my Laptop.

But it may be my computer that was the problem, I dunno...

Man~ I want more of this game! It's too great!

Just bought this. I'm not normally a fan of 2d combat games because they feel too restricted, but the videos looked pretty cool. I was trying to work out the launcher move (I just assumed it had to have one) and then I held diagonal up left and started seamlessly comboing enemies into the sky and now I'm in love.
