the only way mags can really win is the "hail of shit" method.

brings in a big sack of kryptonite, steals the vorpal sword, and rips EVERY BIT OF METAL IN THE AREA OUT AND TURNS IT INTO A HURRICANE OF SLICEY SHIT.

throw the super item shit in, and hope that they can't see everywhere at once.

This, however, is extraordinarily unlikely. but if he DID pull it off, it would not only be hilariously effective, but be more or less the coolest move ever.

a trophy would fall out of the sky. and promptly join the hurricane.

still, supes and marvel have this in the bag, realistically.
This is what I am envisioning, it's plausible, bad ass, and completely in character for Magneto.

It's not plausible because kryptonite isn't even magnetic, probably, and because "being known to several heroes and villains" does not make for a public weakness.

I was referring to the sword and you know it.

    Yes.

But what good will the kryptonite do? Superman will know to stay away from that, too. And if he's not close to kryptonite, he probably won't get blind-sided with the Vorpal Blade.
"Charles, anything you can tell me about my opposition?"

"Nope, I can't, sorry Eric, because I'm fucking dead."

And kryptonite, for the last time, is not an instant kill. Superman has beaten the shit out of plenty of people who had kryptonite.

Can't Magneto do mind control by messing with the iron in people's blood? Or did I make that up?

And if so, can't he make the two big guys fight each other? He's a schemer, that Magneto.

He can make people pass out by keeping the blood from getting to their brains. I don't remember him ever having mind control powers because of that. He would have to control the impulses between neurons in the brain, which don't require blood to function.

That's the problem with Magneto. People have had him do so many stupid things irt's hard to tell what he can or can't control on a regular basis.

Wiki mentions the mind control thing, as well as some other really powerful stuff that might be a problem for the super guys assuming they have iron in their blood and choose to remain within the Earth's magnetic sphere.

edit: seems like the iron thing was brought up earlier. Was mind control ever addressed?

If they just let him continue to do everything he's ever done, he'd be Superman.

If it were just Magneto, Superman and Bigby, that miiiiight work.

But then you have the fact that Captain Marvel's also around, who will have absolutely no difficulties in saving Superman from this unlikely event.

And there's the fact that Mags won't know about the kryptonite, seeing as Xavier is fucking dead in his timeline.

And Superman can also prepare, you know? He could take a radiation suit. Goodbye, kryptonite.

This may be splitting hairs a bit, but since the fight is more or less over and done with oh well. SOB said before that all combatants enter the fight in their normal state. Would'nt the normal state for Captain Marvel be his childlike body? I mean he has to turn into Marvel, which is a fast process..but it might give someone a chance against him.

There is such a thing as a radiation suit made of artificial crap, I'm pretty sure.

Kryptonite isn't even magnetic, anyway. It's not a metal.

No, that is the normal state for Billy Batson.

The normal state for Captain Marvel is Captain Marvel.

    Oh, and t Jeepguy:
The thing that is going to not get Supes and Marvel snicker-snacked is the fact that Superman knows about the sword and that he needs to stay the fuck away from it, not to mention the fact that he is more than fast enough to dodge it, OR the fact that Captain Marvel is probably highly resistant to the sword's effects. Its "cut through anything" thing can be negated by sufficiently powerful magics, and baby, Marvel is practically made of those.

Considering how fast he changes, the size of the field and the incredible unlikelyhood that any two of them will be placed right next to each other, even more unlikely once you figure that Superman won't do anything to kiddy version, it's a pretty moot point.

Well yeah, like I said...splitting hairs. Just curious.
