ECW HeatWave 98 holds up pretty well.

There is both a lot less of the super hardcore stuff and about 25% less misogyny.

Anarchy Rulz 1999 was the last truly good ECW PPV.

Can someone explain the appeal of "The Perfect 10" gimmick?

I mean it's an okay jobber gimmick but people are talking about it like it's the next Tyler Breeze.

Well he's not really a jobber from what I can tell

Dude lost to Apollo but put up a way better fight than I expected and has been winning matches at house shows and whatnot

It's just a fun goofy gimmick on a dude who has been in NXT a while and has finally found something that seems to be working

Oh hey apparently Paige said she hates the current women's belt and wishes they would design a new one ASAP at a panel this weekend.

    I agree 100%

    How's that one

If you're saying we should turn the Divas Champion into BOSS (always in caps) of the division then yes

    CYpGAPn.png
  • UnbreakableVowUnbreakableVow Registered User regular
I agree that the Divas belt needs a redesign and a name change

The WWE championship also needs a redesign

  • wirehead26wirehead26 Registered User regular
    The WWE title is fine.

I actually really like the current WWE title

It's simple, clean and the little side plates let each champion have a custom touch

The best belt will always be the WCW world title (the big solid gold model)

I get why they wouldn't go with that design when they merged them (it's like an admission that their belt looked better) but I'd love to see something along those lines

And keep the side plates as well

The WWF/WWE logo has just been an ugly thing since the Attitude era started

after all the crap that the wcw title went through toward the end of the company's life I am not capable of taking it seriously

  • BlankZoeBlankZoe Registered User regular
Besides the Divas title the only belt I straight up don't like is the US Belt

Thing is garish as hell. Which worked for Cena but not so much for others.

The NXT tag titles are pretty bad too, although that's balanced out by how amazing the actual NXT title is.

    It's definitely my favorite currently

Because it's the most classic-looking one

The IC title is probably my favorite.

Too bad that it carries a curse of a horrible nature.

I like the NXT Tag Titles! I like that their color scheme makes it look like they could fuse.

The current WWE tag titles look like they belong at WrestleMania IX

If you're not sure whether that's an insult or a compliment, well, neither am I

I am super glad to hear she's speaking up about it.

And maybe eventually we can stop calling them Divas...

I think I've said this before, but I'm not sure. My daughter and her friends all love the butterfly belt, and I'm nearly positive that WWE cares a lot more about what children think than about what any of us think. I don't think it's going anywhere anytime soon.

I don't think calling them divas is ever going to change, just like the guys will forever be superstars.

I mean it's nice that little girls like the sparkly pink butterfly

But my adult female wrestling fan friends think it is super demeaning and hate it with a passion

They can absolutely make a Divas belt that appeals to kids and also isn't a shiny pink rhinestone butterfly that appears in a cloud of glitter and pixie dust in its title graphic

i will always love the big gold belt, but i really do dig the current belt they got going

though i am not sure how much of it is because of the long national nightmare that was the spinner belt

I'm not defending the belt, I personally hate it. I just don't think the people that believe the only two possible characters for a female are crazy or bitch give a fuck if anyone finds it demeaning.

The world title looks like it was designed by Jostens.

I refuse to read anything on that and will just assume that Dixie vs JJ will headline whatever that show is.

That is so 15 years ago.

    So yes.

Yahtzee came up with this jingle I posted at the end of the last WrestleThread for the video games industry, but it fits for wrestling as well:

They... they aren't. Well a few are but they aren't buying the PPVs. The reason TNA is alive is because of a money mark.
