I reckon we go lawyer for the 4th guess.

I vote flute over lawyer. The Pied Piper is a much bigger rat thing than calling lawyers names to me.

Looks like Azith has the casting vote.

Looks like Photobucket is currently undergoing maintenance, so you can imagine an image here until I can actually upload it. The text spoiler still has the current grid in the meantime.

    Olive Garden. Ground?

    OrokosPA.png
  • TeucrianTeucrian Registered User regular
Marble garden is an area in sonic. Here on the pa forums I don't know if that qualifies as obscure.

The fact that its a two clue leads me to believe that we were right about either lead or film and polar wants us to guess that.

  • InfidelInfidel Heretic Registered User regular
We always get an extra guess a turn, so it would not be good to say that there are two agents related to that clue unless there actually was.

And trying to say that we were correct that he meant one of those two, we already were at that point and there's not more info to guess one now than when we didn't before.

    OrokosPA.png
  • KaneskiKaneski Registered User regular
Olive certainly. Nothing else obvious to me :(

  • TeucrianTeucrian Registered User regular
Essentially my rationale is that if we were far from correct in our speculation about the fourth "Lear" word then polaritie would be more likely to try and stretch to come up with a three or four clue to prevent us from falling behind. Because our spymaster was content using a 2 clue it suggests confidence that we are likely to get the fourth Lear word also.

Olive is a slam dunk. I'd do the contact but I'm having trouble with tags on my phone.

  • KaneskiKaneski Registered User regular
Contact - Olive I'm halfway around the world and still know such a thing exists.

We were pretty overt that we got it down to Lead or Film with the first clue, and more importantly why we didn't take the shot. I mean, the spymaster can give us the last clue with <word - infinite>, letting us guess the last clues + take both Film and Lead. So shouldn't need to stretch.

Back to Garden. Ground is probably the best 2nd guess. The only other thing I can come up with is 'Track' - as in they are both words for outdoor, vegetation-filled environments. Maybe 'circle', because I've yet to see a garden that wasn't full of spheres. But both of those have easier clues.

  • InfidelInfidel Heretic Registered User regular
Yeah, definitely understand that logic Teucrian, I just don't agree that it was intended with this clue. You can't always get or want 3-4 clues, and we have a fine start.

The pressure isn't really there, because right now we have a 50/50 for the Lear agent and it's not going anywhere. It can only get better by one of them being picked by the enemy, or a future clue combining with it.

    OLIVE is a RED AGENT

Red team has 2 guesses remaining.

  • TeucrianTeucrian Registered User regular
Ok. I get what you're saying. So let's go for ground and then a pass if it hits?

Agreed for pirate..but the rest....wow...I can think of a few but they are all pretty stretching...
Assuming hes thinking of the recent pirates movies (Johnny Depp), maybe hes hoping we will link pirate with some other words like Film or maybe pegleg as a shape is a Circle.

The more i think on it, the more i think circle is the second one. My guesses are pirate, then circle. will wait for @discrider to chip in.

Shall we do lawyer next after pirate?

I'm clueless on the second peg-leg word. They make a tapping noise when you walk? They make you walk in a circle?

I say circle as in round...pegs usually are shaped as round wooden dowels that fit into a screw hole (which is round).
We can do lawyer first tho.

I'm not so sure lawyer is a rat.
PiRATe was probably the 4th rat clue, although I discounted that as invalid.

I reckon we go for Tap and then pass.
Circle doesn't make any sense to me for peg-leg.
