Well if you want to be one of the first 50 to get to their booth in the morning, you pretty much need to be at the front of the queue room line, so you need to get to the convention center earlier than everyone else (no guarantees on how early). If you want to be at the front of the Town Hall panel line, you might also be in for a bit of a wait. (Also I remember from Prime that the Twitch Kappa pin wasn't even distributed to the first x number of people in line, but was found in the showbags in the forward rows of the room, so you could show up at the end and get 'lucky' if they do it the same way.)
I'm not saying you should do it, but for a guaranteed pin, Twitch is pretty... difficult in terms of distribution.
Their twitter distribution method was "easier" to acquire a Kappa pin, although not very safe (and probably impossible for anyone with medical issues). @Lazorz and I had twitter notifications turned on for Twitch (I also had them pushing to SMS), wait for the tweet in a central location, and then go from there to wherever they were to get a Kappa pin. However, it eventually devolved into people running and pushing each other to get a Kappa pin back at the Twitch booth, so it transitioned very poorly into "crowd around the booth near the twitter announcement time and then shove people out of the way while yelling 'bible thump' and pray for a pin." Hopefully you can get in on that as the first group in Friday before more people show up/realize what's going on, then avoid it like the plague afterwards if the above issues happen in Australia, too.
Pins for trade!

Ok I gotta work out some prices for my pin group but beker said the price graphic might be late next week, so everyone help my memory of last years prices please.
PAX Show Set: $35 (last years price)
Polygon: $20 (last years price)
Medius the Cannibal: $20? (I believe @Aussie Ben said this would be $20 + you get a steam code?)
Death Squared Red & Blue Pins: $??
Nissa Pin: $??
Screencheat: $??
Praise Helix Pin: Fuck twitch?
Anyone seen people asking these guys on Twitter what their pins would cost that I've missed?

FYI, Brian is bringing several "fixed" pin bags, to swap out with people. These should be much less likely to hurt pins. So if you would like, bring your empty pin bag to Aus Merch and he will do a bag trade. He will have both colors (colours?).
Why would you do this? Now everyone has to pay an extra $10 to get both pins.
Also, only 1000 of each pin will mean they'll have a lifetime of inventory. While I like the pin designs, these aren't exactly from any noteworthy IP (yet), so I don't expect them to move a ton of units anyways to people outside of core pin collectors. If they keep them at a lower price than other vendors (even if that's $15, or a combo price for buying both), then word will spread of their game, they'll sell pins, etc. Hell, Tin Man has it right by offering a game code with their pin for $20, that at least makes the price worth it.

has anyone found out how the Magic the Gathering Nissa pin is going to be given out are they going to do the Prize Wall or the something like last year
Well that reduces how many I'll buy: from 4 of each to 1 of each. Was buying to trade, Oh well, just get one for me. Price change certainly doesn't increase my interest in the game, almost the opposite.
Recall that The Behemoth got a stern talking-to for selling their pins for $5 each in the early days. The last thing PA wants is for pin vendors to start a price war that drives down the floor price on a fodder or near-fodder pin (which matters, because of the guaranteed 1-for-1 staff trading).
If they had said from the start $20, then fine. But the way they are acting is very unprofessional, annoying and makes this fun hobby fell like its all about the $.
I would have though they would have set a price when they decided to do the pins.
They did - $10 each. They then realised they could charge more so put it up (that how it seems anyway). Clearly they were making money at 10 but decided to go for more. Big backfire with this little black duck.
I can't believe that SMG Studio would bump their prices. So mad. Now I have to go back to all my pinny people and ask for more money or change their order. It makes me look terrible. And if the core sets are actually $40, then I have to bump that up back to $35. Anyone have a confirmation on that?
I thought I had everything nice and ordered, pre-labling my boxes, my excel spreadsheet numbers pretty. Now more issues. *stomps off*
I find it hard to believe that if PA had "minimum price" they wanted vendors to charge for their pins that they wouldn't mention that when organising to produce them.

What a magical time that was. I miss it. To complete AUS, with as few pins as they have, is still going to be a $100 prospect.
