I've only been in the forums for a few months, but I've decided to throw my name in the ring for possible deputy.
The area of the forums I frequent in are SE++. I'm usually on all day- posting only when I feel I have something to say that's either:
-Constructive
-Pertinent to the topic/subject being discussed
I don't have any black marks or transgressions pinned on me in the forums. I do this by trying to stay low-profile with my posts and actually by having something to say- something important/revelant.
I try to bring my leadership with me no matter what I am doing. Whether it be helping other workers in a job or posting on a forum. Anonymity is not a factor for me. I believe we should all carry ourselves in the manner that we do in our every day lives (whether it be in a job, to our parents, or to an everday person on the street). In my opinion respect should be mutual between two people, and I carry that throughout the forums.
I've been complimented by a few users for my general posting habits, but not the mods/admins. I try to stay out of their way for the most part (trouble wise), for I've never really struck up a conversation with one of them. If I did, however, it would fall between Ramius, Alpha, and boddah because they're really sexcellent.

Edit: I've been frequenting in the Games and Technology section for the past week- I'm enjoying it (and I haven't been flamed yet!) (everything I said above applies to this).
