Okay, maybe I'm the only person in the world who hasn't had any major fuck-ups with steam.

    Ever.

Last time I used Steam support, they suggested three things, none of which worked (and one of which wasn't even possible on my OS), and then ignored my ticket for seven or eight months until they stopped supporting my OS at all, at which point they closed the ticket.

I've been using steam since the half-life 2 release and the only problem I've had was caused by me dicking around with skins. Also, if they don't provide any support for your OS then maybe you should expect some problems. Just maybe.

I'm fine with them saying they don't support an OS before I buy the game.

But what they did was say they supported the OS, then, when it didn't work, ignore the problem for almost a year until they no longer supported it.

    I don't.

    I couldn't anyway.

    Steam doesn't support 98.

And not the way Microsoft doesn't support 98, where you can go ahead and try to get it to work, but they won't help you.

No, the asshole way, where if you try to run it, it goes "no, we don't like you, fuck off."

    Why would I do that?

Why would you assume I would do that?

Look, either make it your policy to refund money when your shit doesn't work, or make it your policy to fix your shit when your shit doesn't work.

Theire policy is to claim their shit will work, and then not fucking bother getting their shit to work.
