@crimsoncoyote I mean for Vassal, specifically. Some places said that vassal makes the nubs bigger visually for ease of templates so they don't count for targeting, some places said they do count

X Wing captains, what happens if a ship does a red move and ends up overlapping another ship? Does it still get the stress token? If that move is a flip and it can't complete it, does it still flip?
What happens if you do a green move and overlap, do you still lose the stress token?
The rule book isn't very specific about stress and overlap
Even if you bump into a ship and cannot complete the maneuver, you remove the stress token if it's a green maneuver, or gain a stress token if it's a red maneuver.
If you are performing a k-turn and bump into a ship you do not turn the ship around.

So if I had the Most Wanted expansion, where I wanted to use it in a game against the two starter box ships recommended earlier, what configuration would work (eg 4x ties or 2x X-Wings as opponents)?
You're asking how either the 4xTIEs or the 2xX-wings listed before would fare against a Most Wanted list?
As long as you shoot for the same/similar amount of points for both squads, things should be pretty close. Some ships can do better with less points than others, but I've found that balance is generally pretty good.

Given that I already did so and it worked great, in a chaotic (and messy) three way game it went very well indeed. In the end it was Academy Pilot Tad, who won the day for the Imperials by shooting down one of the last two blacksun pilots (the 13 point jobber) and with 2 ties left, we called it my game (primarily so my opponent could go to bed). I have a good understanding of how the game works now and it's great fun. Hopefully we can play another game soon.
I used ships from all factions: Scum and Villainy Z-Wings x2, 1x Y-Wing, 4 ties and 2 X-Wings. It was a remarkable game and if it wasn't for Tadricks ability to dodge everything, it could have gone either way. I shall write more when I'm not busy with other writing, but I am really happy I decided to invest in X-Wing after this.
I'll be around from 1400-1800 this afternoon if anyone wants to play, eastern time.

So after avoiding this game for a long time, against all odds -- seriously here were the odds against me:
I play a bunch of other minis games
All of my friends play it
I play a shit ton of FFG games
but somehow I had managed to resist the call of Tiny Spess Sheps. I credit it largely to my general ambivalence to Star Wars properties (still excited for the movie).
But over this last week I had the FFG Worlds stream in the background while I was working and something... twinged. Something that made me need tiny spess sheps in my life. All my friends offered to loan me pieces to play some tryout games, but that's not how I roll, so I bought a core + Rebel Aces + Y-Wing to get X/Y/A/B. Yesterday I played my first game against a friend and I ran this:
My only real goal with the list was to play all four of my ships and I filled out the points with stuff I saw in Worlds. Obviously I was not aware of Chardaan Refit, which would've given me enough points to give Poe R2-D2, WHOOPS. My opponent played a Firespray with Ysanne and two Interceptors with PTL/Stealth Device/Autothrusters.
The game started off really well for me with Poe sniping a point into an Interceptor with a range 3 shot, and then the A-Wing put two more hits into it... which it failed to dodge and exploded. All told I rolled five hits on five dice while my opponent only managed two evades on nine. However, some poor piloting on my part (the Y-Wing never got to fire its TLT -- spent the whole game out of arc or within range 1 of its target) resulted in a dead Poe. Shortly after the Y-Wing followed, though at that point I had put a damage on the other Interceptor and reduced the Firespray to 3 hull. The next turn my B-Wing was able to finish off the Interceptor and we were left with a 1 hull A-Wing and a 6 box B against his 3 hull Firespray. We zipped past each other and flew around for a bit -- I managed to reunite my remaining ships while keeping the A-Wing out of his rear arc, which I felt good about. That meant that when he eventually turned around he had to commit his first shot to finishing off the A-Wing. Sadly my dice failed to take advantage of it and he was able to pick away at my six boxes while I couldn't get a single point through his free evade token. It eventually culminated in him spending a focus to get a single hit on me, and me failing to roll a focus or evade to cancel it.
Overall it was a great first experience. I've been playing a bunch of 2+ hour miniature games, so getting into one where the games are significantly less than that was... refreshing. I'm also a big fan of the synergy-oriented list design. I have another game planned for tonight and I think I'm going to play this:
I was looking for a way to make the B-Wing cooler and Keyan using PTL to barrel roll and boost into position, then burning the stress for the shot seems pretty cool.

It is. I love B-Wings.
The other upgrade to look into for them is the Fire Control System (comes with the normal B-Wing) - auto-acquire a target lock on anyone you attack (after resolving the attack). It basically let you do a long range attack to get a free TL, and then once you get closer Boost / Barrel Roll into a safe firing position, PTL to Focus, and make a locked, ~focused shot at close range and still have a defensive focus token to use on your turn.
Also, Ion Cannons are the light against smaller ships.

Ehhhhh. Sons, Wife, Mom, Dad? You've got some pretty steep competition.
Yeah? Well who did you see Weird All with?

They may or may not be ignored in the case of firing arcs. If the pair of you can't agree, roll dice and let fate decide
Personally, it probably depends. I would go with the roll method of deciding though
I would drop the Targeting Computers and the ST-321 title to fit Stealth Devices on the Interceptors instead, personally.
