I need an old map (think around 1800 or from the "dark ages") of a smallist town.
Ie. Like a map of what london looked like in 1600 or paris in 1500, etc.
I searched the google, but didn't turn up anything. I need something fairly detailed, it doesn't have to be "accurate", but has to be accurate down to where houses, castle, roads, etc are all placed.
Extra points if the city has a huge wall or cliff, river on one or more of it's side.
Basically I'm trying to build a very fortified medival city, but need a reference to go off of.

I actually worked at work on Saturday. Also I went out on a date with a real life girl.
Can you like, permanently break the forums?
This one is neat. Google is barfing up all kinds of neat maps, btw.
(couldn't get the link thing to work for some reason)
The problem is, your maps are modern. Although, very interesting.
Modern image yes, but it's still of a very old site. Layouts don't change really. (though depending on what your end result is used for, it'd probably be wise to confirm layouts with maps of differing ages to be certain)
I think if you live in Britain, anyway, tourist shops and church giftshops have old maps in them.
