No Going Clear nom is the first thing that will piss off a good deal of people, I think.
Mad Max cleaned up in the technical awards with 5 noms so far, and I'm glad When Marnie Was There got a Best Animated Feature nom even though Anamolisa or Inside Out will (deservedly) win that category.
This is the most surprising one for me. I was sure The Academy would give him the prize as a lifetime achievement award and seeing him left out for Abrahamson is kind of shocking.
I'm seeing Room tonight actually so I can't definitely say I would have preferred Todd Haynes more, but his work in Carol was amazing and god damn do I wish he would have gotten a nom, both here and in Best Picture.

I am pretty dang happy that H8Ful got all but shut out, and the two awards it got nommed for it deserved
I would've maybe liked to see Kurt Russell up for supporting because his character was pretty damn entertaining but I'm not heartbroken over it at all.
I need to go see a ton of these movies still. I hate going to theaters alone though.

I didn't see this but it was so well received when it released that I'm surprised it's not up for more.
Ironically enough it was written by a pair of white people.

I think it might have been the best movie I saw last year
