    Thats right.

Rub his head, and hell get on his belly. Then tap the heck out of him.
Not so, you need to touch somewhere beside him and take one second to rub over him (i.e. slowly) and he'll get on his belly every time. If you take too long with the initial rub it may have no effect or piss him off.

I started the game last night, and I'm currently at the

    [spoiler:91ac690869]clone facility[/spoiler:91ac690869]

and I'm wondering if there's some huge problem with the way I'm playing the game. I'm being constantly gangraped, it's like the only way I can possibly progress is to have a few dozen healing items. I try to grind, but it makes little difference. Does anyone have any tips? Am I the only one who is finding the game this difficult?

It was difficult for me the first time, too. Healing items are a must, and keep grinding and building up stats.

Fight strong guys. ;3 Also, go around town kills people at least once, just avoid killing girls that can love you. You'll get loot, and fun, you can also raid your Wifi island, and smack up your friends.

I don't know how to get a girlfriend. I fail as a man.

Well, I feed the bug girl and flower girl their respective presents, but they stop hearting me after a while or I give them several dozen presents with no change in dialogue. I think I'm not smart enough for the bug girl, not famous enough for the jewel girl (how I mine for fame?) but what kind of guy does flower girl want? I'm not trying for game girl yet because I haven't stooped to killing my fellow humans. And is it possible to get more than one girlfriend?

    Hey kids.

I finally finally got paid and have enough of the bucks deluxe to purchase something DS.

I was pretty stoked for Contact earlier on in this thread, but now that I have the $$$ under my bed (in a holey sock 'natch) I'm having classic doubts about this. How long is the game on average?

I'm in the mood for some quirky epic rpg time (the last fun 'epic' I played was the very rad KOTOR)... And I'd like to buy something to hold me over till exams begin (Gf is prodding me in the Elite Beat Agents direction).

Contact, once you attempt to get everything, is a good 15 - 20 hour adventure.

Some people are unhappy with some of the design choices behind the game, but I myself am in love with it.
