Dancing Steve for next pin. Seriously. It might be my favorite panel of any comic ever.
Aw, I feel bad for them.
One good friend is better than a lot of terrible friends!
Though, I guess with the characters involved some of them might that terrible friend.
I was so amazed by Steve's dancing that I missed Linus's expression in panel 5.
As someone who has made that same expression when trapped in social situations, my empathy is really high for him. "Poor Linus" indeed.
Those judging eyes. Not knowing what to say. Just wanting to be left alone.
What's weird, is I never felt bad wanting to be alone and reading or playing games as a kid. It was only when my parents treated me like a weirdo for wanting to do those things that I felt bad.
Poor Linus. Just wants to be cozy in his loft, read and organize his books. He doesn't want a popular library, that's what Malachi wants.
I'm a bit confused, is Malachi supposed to be the bad guy for trying to teach these poor kids something beyond their tiny desperate lives? And, is the overall lesson that kids shouldn't have to go to school if they don't like learning stuff?
I'm probably reading too much into this. Oh! I made a funny!

I brought up the same thought last comic.
I think he is!
(Not that I blame him. I am, too. Bad things lurk in the dark.)
