You guys sound like a joy for your friends to be around
This movie isn't happening in a vacuum, despite it's insistence on sucking. There are other things I'd rather do with my friends than sit quietly with them in a crowded theatre for two hours while none of us are having fun.
That's a whole game of Betrayal at House on the Hill we could be playing!

Why would I shell out $10-$15 to see something I don't want to experience?
Not going is fine
Was talking about people actively trying to dissuade their friends because of something they didn't want to do
Oh no, that's totally different
Always let your dumb friends do what they want, maybe they'll have fun, maybe they won't
If they ask what I think I'll tell 'em, but I'm not gonna go "DON'T GO TO THAT MOVIE, IT DOESN'T GET SUPERMAN RIGHT"
I will warn them if I think/hear a movie isn't any good, but that's separate from "I care a lot about interpretations of a specific character" or whatever
I have seen bad movies just for the sake of conversations with friends. I have seen all but one of the Paranormal Activity movies just because I like to rag on those to a friend of mine.
It's a shame that BVS looks more like just a bad movie all around than a ludicrous thing to discuss at a later point, though. I probably should have known, because a friend and I went to see Man of Steel and our usual after movie conversation wound up just being "I have never been so bored while watching a city be destroyed."
Making a list of recommendations for people that ask me about seeing BvS:
*Zootopia is still playing in some places
*10 Cloverfield Lane should still be playing too
*Deadpool might be in the dollar theaters or something
*Mad Max: Fury Road is now available if you want home entertainment
*Daredevil Season 2 just went up on Netflix.
*Heck, Pee-Wee's Big Holiday just went up on Netflix and is probably a better investment of your time.
In fact, fuck it, I'm watching that Pee-Wee movie this weekend.
The Force Awakens is finally getting to my local cheap theater this weekend, I think I might see that for the fourth time.

Nobody knows why we saw that
Nobody remembers a single thing about the movie
Yeah this sounds about right

and don't go along with it even though you know you are going to hate it because being a wet blanket the entire time isn't cool, either
Because why doesn't Batman just shoot the Joker
Zack Snyder may hold the answers
Yeah, I personally don't try to stop my friends from burning their money.
But if they ask why I'm not jazzed about a new piece of media, I don't hide or hold back.
I'm honest to a sharpened point with them.
Him and Tim Burton.
Those were all warning bullets!

the answer is "hey look at this cool batman costume" if we're asking Zack Snyder.
Burton's Batman is a straight up killer and you KNOW it!!!
The Force Awakens is finally getting to my local cheap theater this weekend, I think I might see that for the fourth time.
batman sets a dude on fire in batman returns
I keep telling people, Batman doesn't kill the Joker because Batman lives in a universe where ghosts are real.
the joker becomes the new arch-enemy of gentleman ghost
someone give me dc comics' phone number, i have to pitch this to them right now
Please don't take away my dream of seeing Ben Affleck Batman blow away Jared Leto Joker with an uzi
we'll fix that in post
DCCU (is that the term?) Joker doesn't care about who's a villain and who's not
He's "damaged," you see
