Anyone else reinforcing gamer stereotypes and going to PAX unencumbered by others?

    Bah, I might end up going solo. First the Portland caravan died, and now it looks like the West Coast Supertrip is dying as well. Hell, I can't ever find 3 other people to share a hotel room with. But oh well, as long as I get to play some video games, its all good.

    Hey have them get credit cards with frequent flyer miles, two month worth of expenses plus any kind of sign up bonus and they should be close! It only cost me 25k miles.

    ...this is of course if you and your firends are not 12 years old or anything, what do I know?

    It sucks for me I'm the one who has been trying to get all my friends to go and now I wont be able to go on the 28th, so they will all prolly go with out me. Oh well I'll be there to party that night and to nerd it up on sunday.

    Man, I'm so poor, the only way I could go solo would be to ride my bike. Let's see... Wichita, KS to what, Seattle? That's like... 40 days, 3 knee surgeries, and a killer wedgie. Maybe for the texas meet.

    Hi, new to the forums, but saw this thread and thought I'd chime in. I'll be going solo, only because most of the people I know that like Penny Arcade can't afford to go, and there's no way in hell that I can foot their bill. Unless, of course, they were really cute chicks and I wasn't engaged.

    Sweet! You’re definitely in! And I'll be willing to bet there are more teams like ours, since the further away people are from Seattle the less chance their going to be a part of a four man team.

    I wanna participate in PAX to the fullest and I know others want to as well. We may not win, BUT I'LL BE DAMNED IF I GO DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT!!!!

    I'd love to join, I couldn't get any friends to come, and I want to be able to play in the Halo tourney, even though it'll be hard to get used to after the H2 beta. I'm actually turning 16 on the 28th and trying to figure out whether to go on the first day or not...

    I’m going with a ton of friends however we are going the cheep way (I.E. no hotel room) looks like it's sponge baths, car sleeping and 24/7 BK dining for me!

    Oh man, take it from someone who knows, buy WetNaps and Fabreeze. Your fellow con-goers will thank you.

    Wear a hat also, or better yet, shave you heads. That way if your into cosplay you can go as Bonk.
