144hz monitor display issue

Yikes, so I have a problem that I'm having difficulty figuring out and I could use your guys help.

So I bought the Asus Vg248QE monitor and when plugged in I'm getting these weird lines. I tried different refresh rates and it really doesn't make a difference at all. When I turn the monitor on by itself it will show the Asus logo and everything without the weird vertical lines. I tried updating my Radeon drivers but that doesn't seem to be helping either.

Thoughts? Do I have a faulty monitor or am I just doing something silly. I'm using the DVI cable that came with it. Also I have a radeon 7800 HD series card if that helps.

Have you tried a different DVI cable yet? How about using the HDMI or Display Port inputs instead? Rule out the simplest and cheapest potential fixes first.

Yup, I tried another DVI cable and the HDMI, almost the exact same. Also tried different refresh rates with different cables.

EDIT: I hooked it up to my roommates computer, and tried hooking it up to a Blu Ray player, it's giving the same results with all of them.
