I usually don't care about broken street dates, but this one really bugs me just because it's like a week and a half away. People will have beaten the game by the time I get my hands on it.
I have it in my power to accidentally put a copy of Mass Effect on the shelves of Target, behind other games (I work overnight and stock electronics) and then buy it the next day but getting fired or getting somebody fired is a bit too risky.
We haven't even received copies yet either. :-\ But.. we... we will...
It really isn't that big a deal that some guys you'll never meet have beaten the game before you.
I don't give a shit about that...its just that the game is out and I fucking want it.
It's not. Some people got lucky, key word being some. The vast majority of gamers regardless of which people want it more still have to wait.
What are you still pushing this for? Some people have the game, others want it. Is it really that difficult for you to understand what is happening here? Are you really that thick?

Is there a review site or magazine that people don't bitch about? I'm thinking no.
a lot of people like Edge. and Famitsu is pretty well received.
I just go to 1up. I ignore scores, though, I just want impressions.
I've been enjoying Eurogamer, they tend to be pretty evenhanded and give nice lengthy impressions. Though they do do the standard "All the good things about Halo 3/Half Life/Zelda/anything people like" review. I find Zero Punctuation and the Something Awful one-sentence reviews a lot better for a simple "is game buyable" check.

the combat is the least important part for me
Srsly though I preordered the LE at Shitstop and I can't wait for it to come so I can also come.
Have you ever played KOTOR?

It'd just be cool if it did

Even if there is eventually going to be one it won't be that soon.
I hear there's a Wii version coming first. You shake the remote up and down for yes, left and right for no.
no I never got a chance to play it. I didn't have any money for a while when it came out and had other thigns on my mind.
I guess this kind of thing just isn't my cup o tea.
how about a pc version announced on christmas day?
and then released in four years.
You fuckers are stealing the magic.

Yeah. The last Bioware game I felt like replaying was BG2, so I think a rental will be fine. I can always change my mind later.

You better have been really good. And even then, no.

Apparently an early review

Um, that's from November's Game Informer. It's been sitting on my desk maybe 3 weeks now.
It's a game. Jesus.
oops
Anyway, I didn't know anyone read GameInformer
No one does. Some of us get it because we have those discount cards for used games, and occasionally glance through it before trashing it.
