I thought the whole last act of Deadpool was pretty limp
I couldn't believe they actually ended the movie with "the villain has kidnapped my girlfriend and I have to save her"

    but for real

there is no objective truth to taste and giving people shit for liking or disliking a thing is tiring, at best

I believe, no matter the situation, giving you shit is always the correct policy.

    oh yeah totally

    i don't count as a person

Like my buddy who's an outsider subtype from The Elemental Plane of Assholes. Sure, he's an asshole, but he's our asshole.

I saw four different decapitation methods in west gate.

Rewatching some appleseed, I thought they were androids, not clones. The twenty minutes of exposition was thankfully broken up boob assassins. Still holds up. Need to watch the 80s version.

Edit: anyone named Hades is to be shot in sight! Need to find better and newer animated action in film.

turning it into a romantic comedy was..

an odd but somehow fitting choice

Playing Zordon seems to be the easiest paycheck in the whole world to collect.

"Hey Bryan, come sit on this stool in front of a green screen for 2 or 3 days. Here's a few hundred thousand dollars."

    "Okay."

Van Helsing is delirious and I love it, and Spider-Man 3 is like, 35% of a pretty good movie merged Cronenberg style with a movie that is not as good.

And the emo Parker leisure suit scene was worth the price of admission all by itself.

Just watched this movie called They Look Like People on Netflix. It was... Good? I liked it anyway. I think?

Like I'm still trying to process how I feel about it but overall I'd say it was a good movie.

I mean I could understand Roland's wanting to read for the part if Mae hadn't done anything or not much since the original since she was just a small child at the time and all, but she has been doing some great stuff the last few years.

Lambert's death very much implies sexual violence. You can figure this out by the fact that hers is just about the only death that we don't see (besides Parker) and the audio goes on and on and on, leaving you to imagine what, in a film where John Hurt's chest exploded, what won't they show you?

Of course, ignore the fact this idea was primarily thrown together in the editing bay, but anyways. . .

Side Note: I wrote an essay in college about Alien, sexual violence, and queer theory titled "It Came in Outer Space." It placed in a competition and I get fifty bucks out of it.

That's weird, I never wrote anything about Alien. What did you use as a jumping off point?
Oh, @Tube, I've been using a shaman to read your dreams for years.

Is this the reboot they dreamed up where the gate only connects to Abydos instead of going all over the place? Cus that sounds duuuuumb.

I have a podcast about Digimon called the Digital Moncast, on Audio Entropy.

The pacing of Deadpool is nonsense

The pacing is the one thing about Deadpool I'd call extraordinary.

I liked Deadpool because I like comic book movies that don't expect me to take them seriously.

Wow that sounded quite dickish. I am not slating comic book movies or anything, I just prefer them when they lean into being ridiculous and fun instead of dramatic and serious. Why Guardians of the Galaxy is the only series I really care about following.
