Chris is alright. Liam I have no strong feelings one way or the other. Now Sam whathisname (Worthington), he is pretty ordinary...

Statham strikes me more as Moon knight. Very physical, not quite in step with society , possibly crazy.

I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.

    I saw Warcraft last night.

That was an awesome, but deeply flawed, film that I enjoyed & will enjoy on further screenings because I will make fun of it so much.

I was particularly happy that Ben Foster's wizard was either #1 Drunk on magic or #2 Hungover from magic in nearly all of his scenes, and the response for #2 was for them to put him into a hot tub.

    Wizards, am I right???

That scene when he went fel corrupted in the pool was so awful oh my god. I get the feeling on repeat viewing it'll be hilarious.

So Stargate, who do you get to play the primary characters? My buddy and I were talking about it yesterday....

For Jack O'Neil, I was thinking Karl Urban, because he needs to be in everything, and he's square jawed enough to follow in Kurt Russel's boot steps.

For Jackson I was thinking Chiwetel Ejiofor, He might be too charismatic, but he has the perfect voice and the look that says "While I am a man of science, If ass needs to be kicked I'm up for the challenge".

For Ra I just don't know. I don't know any up and coming egyptian actors off the top of my head.

For Sha we were was thinking Morena Baccarin, because she is awesome, and the same issue I have with Ra, I don't know of any Egyptian actresses off the top of my head.

Also French Stewart will still be in the remake as the same character as the original for no reason.

Wait. When does movie Jackson ever have a look that says he is at all capable of kicking any kind of ass?

He gets that look when he goes back to Ra's ship to save Sha. He loses that deer in the headlights look he's had for a lot of the movie, and gains a more confident and serious look. Also I think the new movie could drop the "bumbling Academic" part of of Jackson's character and we wouldn't lose much.

I thought the bumbling academic part was great since he is essentially a crack pot at the beginning. Plus without it you don't get the cool change over to him getting serious.

Stargate makes me happy because I enjoy the idea of a small nation in the galactic kiddy pool scavenging, stealing, and creating tech to carve an empire through colonization, assassination, and political maneuvering (honestly how I saw the series).

Part of me wants the reboot because of how the various series ended, but another part is sad to let it go.

So who's going back in time to start shit over?

    http://io9.gizmodo.com/this-will-be-a-tough-sell-sg1-has-never-really-gone-aw-1782242938

I actually think this was the first decapitation kill I saw in film.

Edit: how many Stargate games are there?

It's been a long time, but the only thing I remember disliking about 3rd Rock was how it resolved it's cliffhangers.

It seemed to usually have some pretty big cliffhangers for the season finale, but then when the next premiere rolled around they would just kind of casually resolve it as if it was nothing and everything would be back to normal by the end of the premiere. Yeah, it's a sitcom in the 90s so they had to get back to the status quo, but it kind of deprived the finales of any weight when they would get resolved so effortlessly.

Of course, it's been so long that I can't actually remember how they resolved some of the cliffhangers, I just still remember the feeling of being disappointed in how they did it.

3rd Rock was a show I completely lost track of in it's final season or two. The same thing happened to me with My Name is Earl. At some point I really should go back and watch the last 2 seasons of both of them.

Yup. They reshot his stuff from the season 3 cliffhanger episode with a new actor playing a new character IIRC after he died so that the resolution episode wouldn't feel in poor taste or whatnot.

Wow, I'd completely forgotten that Phil Hartman was in that.

Looking it up, I think I remember that finale, but I had completely forgotten that he was the kidnapper.

Which is weird, because I was watching News Radio at the time and obviously knew who he was from that (and remembered his death's effect on that show).

I guess since he was only a guest star in 3rd Rock, I'd forgotten that he was the one who played the kidnapper by the time the premiere rolled around?

Man, maybe I need to give 3rd Rock another go. Having not watched it since it was new I turned on the pilot a few weeks ago and the sexism turned me off pretty quick.

But I do remember it handling that stuff better, so maybe the pilot is a low point?

I dunno. God, I loved that show as a kid though.

I only remember two things about third rock.

One was the time the main guy was trying to be more manly or whatever and made a point of checking his nails differently (I dunno why this stuvk with me)

And the other was when they had some kinda cross over with that years superbowl half time.
