My date yesterday went well save for some awkwardness at the start and end because I am super bad at PDAs... We walked through Hyde Park and ended up in Soho for steak, spent like 4 hours just talking (and stayed off the nightmare political situation for 3 of those, haha).

Need to get over kissing and holding hands in public, I am a ridiculous child.

My mantra for hard conversations is that it's better to know - this has applied to lots of conversations within relationships too. Without knowing the truth I'm just dealing with my insane what-if scenarios and anxiety spirals, and at least once I know I am in the world of reality and can go from there.

A local bank is advertising itself as a "safe haven" for people who would like to open a savings account

This is the bank where two employees murdered a customer so they could take his money

That doesn't seem safe at all!

An emotional thing I need to be able to vent about a little. Game of Thrones finale spoilers.
Firstly, I'm not in danger, I want to make that clear. This is not a cry for help or anything, just a venting because if I can't talk about it, it feels even more isolating.

Tommen's suicide really hit me. I didn't see it coming, at all. Which is a problem, because due to my past, I need buffers against suicidal stuff. Usually, fictional suicides are pretty clearly telegraphed well in advance, so I have time to brace myself. This one didn't give me that kind of notice.

Today's been rough. I'm going to make it, I'm fine in the ultimate sense. But something about the suddenness of it, and the peaceful way it was portrayed (relative to the clusterfuck that happened in the scene right before it) just delved into my brain and tried its damnedest to plant eggs.

I only see another key. Which I'm glad of as I don't want someone standing on my laptop. Seriously though, today has been a day for new messages that I've not seen before.

XDFGHU? Is he in Scientology or a Cthullu cult or something like that?

Well my relationship reverted to a previous save. I went from the boyfriend level, back to the dating level because we didn't have enough xp.

I'm not sad? She felt that she wants us to get to know each other better before we attach the label, which I totally understand and am fine with.

Just a little nervous it won't pan out this time.

I did tell her that if we get back to being boyfriend/girlfriend, that it will be her turn to ask me out.

You know what, German keyboards can suck it. I don't care where you put the letters on your keyboard but when you hide crucial symbols that are used routinely in everyday computing behind ALT keys you're just intentionally trying to fuck with international users. I though German designs were supposed to be focused on efficiency.

You got to go for a big quest mate

    journey somewhere new and exciting

slaughter a high level enemy together and plunder their loot

    then you'll be sorted

    Dear Livejournal Thread,

I have no love related news today.

But I do have super weird and awkward midnight calls from my friend's mother out of nowhere, aggressively guilt tripping me to hang out with said friend more while he's in town.

For a brief moment after hanging up I had to double check it wasn't 1998 again.

    It IS!

    Good news:

You're younger, the economy is better, and the music is better

    Bad news:

Your internet sucks, GWB is about to be elected in a bit, and you have to act surprised about everything

    Good news:

depending on your memory, you can make a lot of money gambling!
