I thought it was a sweet piece from the child of an actor and director I adored about her coming to terms with the mantle being passed and the public reaction, both positive and negative.
I get it, apo. You do not believe and/or care about the toxicity that exists surrounding the film. You've made it abundantly clear with every dismissive reply you've made to me.
That being said, it's a good article outside of all of that.

I got a ticket for the 1020am showing of ghostbusters. I'll have to take Chelle later on as she informed me next Friday is Star Trek beyond whether I'm dying or not. She'd never ever admit it but I think she has a crush on Chris Pine. Which is adorable.

Sung last night after ghostbusters, drunk, while boyfriend would not stop playing Pokemon Go on the way home.
Lyrics are next-morning approximate (assembled from the best parts of what was, I am assured, a 15 minute, insufferable, rambling improvisation):
I wanna be the very best, like no one ever was.
To spin them is my real test, popping bubbles is my caaause. (Ba baaa bah!)
I will travel across the land, searching far and wide
(DEEE DOOO DEE)
To spin the coin so it reveals
The items stashed inside
Poh kay stop! Gotta spin em aaaall
Set the items free
I know it's my destiny
Pokestop, oh, you're all there is
Cause this game's a piece of shit
Pokestop - gotta spin em all
A spin so true
Hoarding items is all we doooo
You spin me and I'll spin you
Poooooooh kaaaaaay staaaaaaaaaahp!
Gotta spin em all
Gotta spin em aaaaall
Pokestop!

I love how much you hate Pokemon and yet continue to play it, DK. I know that you must do it with such a self aware self loathing that it must feed some dark humiliation fetish.
the other month i took my longboard out of storage because someone wanted to buy it and i hadn't used it in years
and i was like wait this is fun and i rode it around my neighborhood a little
and then the day after i realized that when braking i had somehow fucked up my knee and then it got worse over the next few weeks and now is finally almost getting better but
old bodies suck

I don't play it though! I open it from time to time to look at how much of a trainwreck it continues to be, but I am totally off it. My man however, continues to be obsessed with it, much to my confusion.

i used to take falls down stairs like they were nbd
one time i ate it hard on this handrail near my house and i just laid there for a few minutes and then got up and kept skating like nbd
i am pretty sure that a fall on flat ground would fucking wreck me now

oh....I suppose tenement indicates these places are crappy inside, but without that context it's a really cool photo portraying kinda awesome human density.
If the photo was just labeled Hong Kong apartments, would that be as bad (ie is it the concept of the squalor or the concept of the density that is upsetting? Cause the former, sure, but the latter, no way, that's awesome.)

Well, the architecture is also kind of brutal in a claustrophobic way.
Not to say that human density can't be amazing and beautiful, but usually when it expresses some sort of colorful diversity rather than people packed into grey boxes like sardines.

i remember skateboards being super expensive
then again, i was like 13 when i was skateboarding a lot, so a $50 deck was a lot of money
