Hm, being in Cleveland seems to have given Trevor an actual voice.
It has been a slow build but he has been starting to put forth his voice and opinion more strongly, maybe seeing the convention stuff in person has helped push him to do it as well.

Resounding meh. John Oliver was much more interesting when he covered less exposed topics like Chicken farming and Fifa scandal. Everyone else has been covering the 2016 elections for solid 4 years!
While I kinda agree that its getting overdone, I really don't mind it because it keeps spreading the word on how much of a piece of shit trump is. I doubt it will change the opinion of pro-trump supporters, but hopefully it reaches others who are on the fence, to vote against him in November.

But there are plenty of people who might be swayed, or who might be swayed in seeing others be swayed, or whatever the case is. There is value in pointing out that one of the two nominees is an ongoing garbage fire of a human being.
If nothing else, even if nobody is swayed from 'the other side', there is value in driving Democratic supporters to the polls in droves to help insure that said garbage fire human isn't elected. There is too much at stake for people to rest on their laurels and assume Trump can't become president. Because he can, he totally can, and millions of potential voters sitting this one out is one of his 'win conditions', as it were.

Yeah. LWT will get back to more varied topics after the election, but for now, it's kinda super important that the US doesn't fuck this one up, and every little bit helps.
