Trade deadline is over. Baseball is in the boring okay if the season for awhile.

Tigers are winning a lot of games recently.
A-Rod might get cut

Yankees suddenly have one of the best farm systems

Schide has lost 2 weeks in a row. His 25.5 game lead is tenuous at best.

Giants have Matt Moore and Matt Cain in their rotation. That's too many Matts

Cubs are still good...but cursed

Mets have literally no offense. They had James Loney batting cleanup.

Trevor Story will sock no more dongers this year.

    I wonder if this is the year I buck my incremental trend and stick at 2nd. Doubt it, but its nice to be doing well.

    Anyway, Joc Pederson and Michael Conforto are available for pitching. Trade deadline for the keeper league is in 10 days (August 14)

    i havent watched baseball much this year and am not even using my tickets

    this is the worst Rays team since they were called the Devil Rays

    He had some good years. He just never stayed completely healthy.

    I think he's still in the discussion since he was a switch hitter with 400 dingers. Something people will discuss and he'll stay in the ballot a couple years then drop.

    For what it's worth, he's got ~2 fewer war than Ortiz right now, who is only a lock because of the context of some of his biggest moments

    He's barely ahead of Lance Berkman, Ian Kinsler, and Brian Giles

    The Yankees are going to have a press conference with A-Rod, Cashman, and Girardi tomorrow at 11 AM. Wondering if they'll announce that they're "parting ways" (either now or at the end of the season) and if A-Rod will decide to announce a retirement or not.

    Close. A-Rod's final game will be Friday. He will remain with the team as a special advisor and instructor. They sent out a press release ahead of the press conference.
