Isn't the only "bad" parent shown really the one who wasn't there? No other springs to mind.

I've been wondering why Bismuth hasn't shown up in the 4th SU episode package on Amazon.

Turns out they just abandoned that one after it hit 19 episodes and started up a 5th one.

    That's pretty poopy.

Amazon can be pretty shitty about season passes and where they arbitrarily decide that a season ends.

    Beta spoilers
The Rebellion wasn't a small thing apparently.

something interesting with what Peridot said about the Beta site. The Beta site wasn't made for efficiency.

"It was obviously a total rush job. Halfway through the rebellion, Homeworld scrambled to generate extra soldiers on the ground.
Look at this, the holes don't even line up! Haha, its like they threw injectors down wherever!"

They were desperate for *anything* and accepted whatever they got. Jasper was lucky enough to be the pick of the litter essentially.

    How successful was Rose?
Was she converting prisoners so successfully that her army was growing while Homeworld's army diminished?
Were Rose's ideas so dangerous that Homeworld wanted them contained on Earth? Hence, the very short recall notification before the Corruption Device was used?

    Well it could also be
A Rome style thing. Their army was pushing in so many directions at once they didn't have assets to move, and even if they did it was from one galaxy to another

After investigating, this is why Bismuth hadn't popped up on iTunes yet either

    SO BE IT

You know what's a really good one, on repeat watchings?
The look on Bismuth's face when Pearl explains that Rose told them that she'd lost track of her.

    That's a great point I hadn't considered before. Hope it's true.

Oh! One detail about the Bismuth episode that I really like, but keep forgetting to mention.
The way they slip the title card into the scene just as she first appears.

    Also, some subtle foreshadowing.
    Steven's watching that samurai show/movie

Lonely Blade: With this demon blade, I will be the most powerful fighter in all the world!

Steven: No, Lonely Blade! Don't us it!

Bismuth: What? if that thing's got infinite power, then of course Lonely Blade should use it. It just makes sense.

I mean, subtle is one word for it...
