I suspect he's referring to MILF, not the actual government. Which is pretty shitty of him. It's like calling Great Britain a terrorist nation based on the actions of the IRA during the Troubles. Duterte certainly has a ton of problems, but being a terrorist ain't one. He's more of a strongman genocidal dictator type, which is...not better, but calls for a different range of responses.

I've had this train circling my head for the past few days, I've gotta let it out of the station - facebook's no good and my partner and I are making the same face at this.
What the fuck did I just watch on Thursday and Friday?
1. The government did a thing that they said they were going to do 6 months ago, because this is what it looks like when you ease sanctions on a country and then try to prop them up and ease their way back into the global economy.
2. The news, rather than do a modicum of research and speak rationally about why we were giving 400 million to Iran, chose to chase their own tail in circles of hyperbole because what's good for the Fox is good for the gander.
3. The President had to give a press conference, on his birthday, where he spent 20 minutes explaining to the press why he did the thing he said he was going to do six months ago.
I suppose I'm left with some conflicting thoughts here:
Cynically, we get the press we want. We want to be stupid so we reward them when they are stupid. I don't like this thought but it's not invalid.
Optimistically, how the hell do we as a civilization express to the media that this is ridiculous? This was a complete failure of the news channels to do the most basic part of their job - inform a public about the day to day doings of their government and how it's relevant to the world.
