    Just about finished with the first season of the new Berserk anime. Still feel kind of bad about that and the movies being my introduction to the series through the SBFs.

    I really don't get it. Berserk seems to be a legendary and acclaimed series, how were they not able to get a real triple A team on this?

    It wouldn't have struck me as the manga that would have a hard time getting a budget.

    The extreme content is likely a huge factor. Hard to justify the budget for something most networks wouldn't air.

    I guess Japan doesn't have an HBO equivalent.
